“It’s good that these local Indian newspapers are showing their support," said one reader who was already aware and concerned about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China.
Practitioners displayed Chinese and English truth-clarifying banners along a street outside a Chinese supermarket to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the April 25 peaceful appeal.
Despite the cold and rainy weather, practitioners from different parts of the country came to the capital to recall the importance of protecting fundamental human rights and the courage of those who defend them.
Many passersby stopped to watch the practitioners of different ethnicities doing the Falun Dafa exercises and learn about Falun Dafa and the 25th anniversary of the April 25 Peaceful Appeal.
Falun Dafa Day, May 13, was recognized in Greer, South Carolina, USA. The proclamation reads, in part, “Falun Dafa has helped hundreds of millions across the world improve their health and moral standard, as well as deepened their understanding of life, humanity and the universe.”
Dr. Liu was among thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in Changchun City arrested in March 2002 after a TV interception incident that exposed the persecution.
