“Standing up for freedom and human rights is simply the right thing to do. But defending and promoting these inalienable and universal rights is also profoundly in our national interest," stated U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
“I think all Chinese people can rejoice in this. Across the world, people are experiencing this [performance], and it will restore the ancient Chinese culture to its former glory," said a Member of Parliament at the performance in Ottawa, Canada.
Practitioners in Indonesia held activities in Jakarta and Surabaya to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the April 25 Peaceful Appeal and call for help to stop the persecution still happening in China.
"I am appalled, outraged and heartbroken by the brutal, barbaric, inhumane, cruel and criminal persecution of peaceful, gentle Falun Gong practitioners..." wrote Benedict Rogers, co-founder of the Conservative Party Human Rights Commission.
Practitioners in Chicago held a rally in front of the Chinese Consulate to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the April 25 Peaceful Appeal and draw support for ending the persecution in China.
