Around 4,000 practitioners gathered in Flushing, New York, on April 23 for a rally and parade calling on people to stop the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa. The event surprised and impressed several Chinese nationals who’d never seen a Falun Dafa event.

Practitioners in southern Taiwan gathered on April 22 for a rally and march to commemorate the April 25 peaceful appeal in Beijing in 1999. This event also called for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s 24-year-long persecution of Falun Dafa.

Practitioners in the Bay Area held events to mark the 24th anniversary of the April 25 peaceful protest in Beijing, which were well received by passersby.

One passerby said that it was important to speak up for those who are being persecuted: “Some people will turn a blind eye to the suffering of others and think they are doing well, but they may become the victims one day.”
One couple said that their Chinese friend was too afraid to make any comment on the CCP’s censorship or persecution. They also expressed their sympathy for practitioners in China and wished practitioners success in telling people about the persecution.
The Tian Guo Marching Band led the parade, followed by practitioners with banners and a large contingent demonstrating the Falun Dafa exercises. Others distributed brochures about Falun Dafa and the persecution.
