(Minghui.org) Practitioners in Helsinki, Finland, held several activities in April 2023 to commemorate the peaceful April 25 Appeal in Beijing 24 years ago. They demonstrated the exercises in front of the Chinese Embassy on April 20 and collected signatures at the Forum Shopping Center on April 22. Many people expressed their support for their efforts to end the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.

People who went to the Chinese Embassy on April 20 were handed information about Falun Dafa and the persecution. A Chinese family talked with practitioners. The man said he had been given a copy of The Ultimate Goal of Communism and wondered if he would be able to take it back to China. A practitioner said, “If you are worried, you may want to take software to circumvent the CCP’s Internet blockade. It will give you access to all the information overseas and allow you to download the book.” The man said he would. He quit all the communist organizations he’d joined, and his son quit the Young Pioneers. As they left the embassy, they waved farewell to the practitioners.

A man who stopped in front of practitioners’ banner asked if the organ harvesting crime was real. A practitioner told him more about the CCP’s atrocity of harvesting organs from living practitioners. When the man mentioned that the Chinese Embassy used his company’s services, the practitioner said, “The Chinese Communist Party is not China or the Chinese people. The people are kind and friendly. The embassy employees are also deceived by the CCP’s propaganda.” The man agreed. “Thank you so much for your work,” he said. “Your hard work will pay off! I will share your valuable information.”

Many people stopped by the Falun Dafa booth at the Forum on April 22. They learned about the persecution, read the display with photos of victims of the persecution, and signed a petition calling for an end to the CCP’s atrocities.

Joseph, a pastor, told a practitioner that he followed news about China and listened to the Epoch Times every day. He understood the significance of the activities and had signed the petition a few weeks before. Joseph said he was very interested in Chinese culture. He hopes to see Shen Yun and visit China some day.

A man from the Netherlands was saddened to see pictures of the persecution victims. He signed the petition and thanked practitioners for spreading the important information through their activities.

A Swedish couple told a practitioner that their Chinese friend was too afraid to make any comment on the CCP’s censorship or persecution. They expressed their sympathy for practitioners imprisoned in China and wished practitioners success in telling people about the persecution.

Janne, who’s written 15 books, told a practitioner that he was working on a new book about human rights. He praised Falun Dafa practitioners and said they were a group of great people.

Many others expressed their support and good wishes. Some said they would like to see their country maintain fewer economic ties with a government that disregards human rights.
