A rally protesting the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of human rights was held on Human Rights Day. Two Members of Parliament sent supportive responses to the event, condemning the CCP’s organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners.

The Australian Parliament passed the “Autonomous Sanctions Amendment (Magnitsky-style and Other Thematic Sanctions) Bill 2021” on December 2, 2021. The Bill took effect on December 7, three days before International Human Rights Day.

Practitioners also peacefully protested near the Chinese Embassy on the morning of December 11 and then moved their activities to Lisbon’s bustling city center in the afternoon.
