Canada: Parliamentary Committee Passes Bill S-240 to Counter Organ Trafficking

The bill makes it illegal for Canadians to obtain organs abroad without the consent of the donor and makes people involved in forced organ harvesting anywhere in the world inadmissible to Canada. It will go for its final reading in the House of Commons and the Senate before becoming law.

Arkansas House of Representatives Passes Resolution Condemning Forced Organ Harvesting in China

The Arkansas House of Representatives passed House Resolution 1022 on February 18. The resolution encourages U.S. Congress and the Arkansas State Legislature to work to end organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience in China. It also calls for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong, the largest group of prisoners of conscience in China, and primary targets of the crimes.
