(Minghui.org) Due to Falun Dafa practitioners’ persistent efforts to raise awareness about the persecution of their faith over the past 24 years, many people, including police officers, have come to understand Falun Dafa and express their support for practitioners.
The following are two examples.
“Falun Dafa practitioners are strong and unyielding”
A Falun Dafa practitioner on a bus in Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, saw a man holding an X-ray. Thinking the man might be sick, she stood up and gave him her seat. He thanked her and told her that the X-ray was of his wife.
Moments later, the man’s wife came down the aisle. The practitioner chatted with her, telling her about Falun Dafa’s health benefits and how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) spread negative propaganda to demonize it. The wife identified with what the practitioner said and agreed to quit the CCP to avoid becoming its accomplice. She also told the practitioner that her husband worked for the police.
Before the couple got off at their stop, the husband turned around and in a loud voice announced to the other passengers, “Falun Dafa practitioners are strong and unyielding!” Everyone was stunned.
Officers Who Befriend a Falun Gong Practitioner Get Promoted
Another practitioner shared that a deputy police chief and the director of a detention center who were friendly to her were both promoted. This is what she said.
“I went to the police station. The officer I was looking for wasn’t there, so and I saw the deputy chief. He took me to his office and said, ‘Let me show you something.’”
“He turned on his computer and opened the Minghui website. ‘I know everything. I’ve been reading Minghui every day.’
“When I asked if that was true, he said, “Yes, absolutely. You see, we didn’t bother you or other practitioners all these years. When our colleagues from other districts tried to harass you, we never cooperated with them. I also often visit the website for quitting the CCP, and most of my colleagues who are close to me have already quit.’
“I felt truly happy for him. When I went to look for him another time, I learned that he had been promoted to be the chief of another police station.”
“In 2014, I was arrested and sentenced to prison. I wrote a 17-page letter to appeal. I explained what Falun Dafa is and how it’s reviving traditional values. After the detention center director read my letter, he said to me in private, ‘We are friends now. After you are released, make sure to send me information about Falun Dafa. I want to know more about it.’ The director also shared my appeal letter with other detention center officials and they voiced support for me as well.
“When I went back to the detention center to look for the director after I was released from prison, I learned that he had also been promoted to be the director of a district police department.”
