Additional Persecution News from China – June 25, 2023 (4 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaojuan and Ms. Wang Shuqin Arrested
2. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Guo Xiaomei Held in Detention Center
3. [Xiangyin County, Hunan Province] Ms. Xiao Zhiqun and Her Sister Ms. Xiao Zhimei Arrested
4. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Cui Hongyi’s Home Ransacked

1. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaojuan and Ms. Wang Shuqin Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiaojuan, a teacher at Huimin Elementary School, was arrested by officers from the Qinzhou District Domestic Security Division on the morning of June 12, 2023, at her school. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Wang Shuqin, a teacher at Gansu Industrial Vocational and Technical College, was arrested at work by officers from the Qinzhou District Domestic Security Division on May 25, 2023. Ms. Wang was held in the Zaojiao Detention Center in the Qinzhou District for 10 days of administrative detention. She has returned home.

2. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Guo Xiaomei Held in Detention Center

Ms. Guo Xiaomei from the Songshan District was arrested by officers from the Songshan District Domestic Security Division on June 21, 2023. She was held in the Songshan District Detention Center.

3. [Xiangyin County, Hunan Province] Ms. Xiao Zhiqun and Her Sister Ms. Xiao Zhimei Arrested

Ms. Xiao Zhiqun, 65, and her sister Ms. Xiao Zhimei, 59, were reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in Jinxing Village, Jinghe Town, on the afternoon of June 16, 2023. They were arrested by Zhangshu Police Station officers, handcuffed, and taken to the Xiangyin County Law Enforcement Division where they were interrogated and placed in custody.

The sisters were taken to the No. 3 County Hospital and People’s Hospital for physical exams. On the morning of June 17, 2023, the officers photographed them, collected their fingerprints, measured their shoe sizes, ordered them to step one foot at a time on a device, and recorded their voices.

On June 17, an officer presented the women with public security administrative penalty decisions placing both of them under 15 days of administration detention. They were told to sign their names, which they refused to do.

Ms. Xiao Zhiqun was not admitted by the detention center as her blood pressure readings were as high as 214 and 108 mmHg. She was sent home. Ms. Xiao Zhimei is being held in the detention center.

4. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Cui Hongyi’s Home Ransacked

Officers from the Wolitun Police Department ransacked Mr. Cui Hongyi’s home without showing their IDs on June 24, 2023. They confiscated a laptop computer, a framed photo of the founder of Falun Gong, a framed picture of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and the Falun emblem, two copies of Zhuan Falun, four copies of Master Li’s recent writings, two copies of Master Li’s Fa lectures, one set of Minghui desk calendars, incense made of four fruit ingredients, an incense burner, an earphone used to practice the Falun Gong exercises, and a small radio.
