(Minghui.org) Some local practitioners recently passed away. This was a big loss in terms of assisting Master in the Fa rectification and saving sentient beings. However one practitioner in our area was able to come back from cognitive decline (mental confusion and memory loss) and regained her righteous thoughts thanks to her firm belief in Master and fellow practitioners’ help. She maintained a firm thought, “I practice Falun Dafa and I’m Master Li Hongzhi’s disciple. I don’t acknowledge any other arrangements.” She recovered and resumed doing the three things to assist Master in Fa rectification.
This elderly practitioner was in her 80s, experienced the symptoms of cognitive decline, and had difficulty walking. She couldn’t remember the Fa or the exercises—but she remembered to arrange her funeral.
Practitioner Ming who was close to her was anxious. What should he do? He knew he couldn’t allow the old forces drag her away. He decided to help her overcome this tribulation and regain her righteous thoughts. He thought it was his responsibility to make sure she was not taken away by the old forces.
He started studying the Fa and doing the exercises with her to help her wake up. He repeatedly reminded her that she’s a Falun Dafa practitioner of the Fa-rectification period, and had an important mission. He taught her to recite the verses for sending forth righteous thoughts. She had difficulty remembering, and forgot them as soon as she recited them. He was not discouraged and kept teaching her. No matter how long it took, he was not impatient.
Two days later she was able to remember the verses, and her complexion improved. But she was lazy in doing the exercises. She still said that she wanted to go to a nursing home and write a will. He didn’t give up on her thanks to his powerful righteous thoughts and compassion.
He kept studying the Fa with her and urged her to do the exercises. He also shared with her his understanding of the Fa. She kept reciting the verses for sending righteous thoughts, and her memory gradually returned. Her back was no longer hunched over and her eyes were bright again.
When Ming shared with her about the connection between one’s main consciousness and the body, she said loudly, “I am Master Li Hongzhi’s disciple. I don’t acknowledge any other arrangements.” Her reaction touched Ming and the other practitioners. We were moved to tears. Thank you Master for your protection. She overcame the tribulation and her mind became clear.
Ming asked whether she wanted to go to the nursing home or continue practicing Falun Dafa. She chose the latter. Her main consciousness returned and was in charge. The persecution from other dimensions was dissolved.
From this incident I truly saw the meaning of what Master said: “...the Main Spirit controls the body and makes decisions...” (Lecture Eight, Zhuan Falun)
As long as we practitioners remember the Fa principles from Master’s Fa and understand the Fa, there’s nothing we can’t overcome.
My Thoughts on Sickness Karma
When they encounter sickness karma tribulations, practitioners have different reactions. Some feel they don’t have powerful abilities to overcome sickness karma. In my opinion, it doesn’t have anything to do with the practitioner’s cultivation level. Master already removed our names from the list in the hell, which is the most crucial issue.
Master said,
“None of the Dafa disciples are governed by the Three Realms. On the day you made a vow to practice cultivation, your name was taken off the list in hell. If Dafa disciples die, they will not reincarnate, because they are not governed by the Three Realms and they cannot reincarnate within the Three Realms. They are not governed by hell either so hell can’t punish you. You are governed only by Dafa.” (“Teaching the Fa in Washington D.C. In 2018,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XV)
The path of our lives were rearranged when we started cultivation, and Master’s arrangements cannot be casually changed.
There two reasons a practitioner’s physical body might be taken away. First, the practitioner doesn’t know the meaning of his existence, how important his physical body is, or how powerful the abilities Master bestowed on him are. He thinks that he can’t cultivate to a high level so he looks down on himself. He’s forgotten his vow, thus, he’s not able to negate the old arrangements. He he acknowledges the old forces’ arrangements and safeguards them. He becomes pessimistic and may gradually begin to think he cannot succeed. The old forces may take advantage of his negative thoughts and anything can happen to him.
Some practitioners are severely persecuted in labor camps or prisons. They may feel they can no longer endure the suffering. When they give up they pass away.
What do Dafa practitioners come here for? We only exist in this world because we vowed to assist Master in Fa rectification and save sentient beings. If our physical bodies are gone, won’t be able to follow Master and save sentient beings. We won’t be able to complete our mission. Dafa disciples are governed by Master and by Dafa. Master took off our names off hell’s list when we started to practice Falun Dafa.
Another reason some practitioners pass away might be that, in another lifetime they made an agreement with someone so they could obtain the Fa in this lifetime. Only the main spirit governs the body in this crucial time and Master will help practitioners overcome death. The mission of Dafa disciples is to achieve consummation. We were given human bodies for the purpose of saving sentient beings.
My understanding is that Master’s Fa incorporates such meaning. It is crucial that practitioners understand this. We should be clear that the persecution of practitioners’ bodies is a test forced upon us by the old forces and any sickness is a form of persecution forced on us. When we understand this, the power of the Fa is manifested. Master said that our every thought and action impacts big things.
When practitioners understand the Fa, let go of their attachments and our main spirits are in control, they will reduce the possibility of their body being taken away, and will dissolve the persecution.
