Historical and cultural perspectives on the coronavirus can help us gain a better understanding of the challenges that we are facing and how we might positively cope with them.
In 2020 alone, at least 83 Falun Gong practitioners died in the persecution in China. Some passed away as a result of long-term torture in prisons, some died after they were denied medical parole despite their critical condition, and others died in police stations as a result of savage beatings.
Falun Dafa practitioners held activities in Paris to bring awareness of the persecution in China. They demonstrated the exercises and held a petition drive calling for an end to the repressive CCP regime.
When Ms. Pang Xiuqing finished serving two years for practicing Falun Gong in October 2019, she was mentally and physically traumatized. The police kept harassing her and pressuring her to give up her faith. She passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 65.
Ms. Wang Fan finished serving two years in prison for her faith in Falun Gong on October 2, 2020. Her school had fired her, so she found a tutoring job to make ends meet. She had a stroke and died on the last day of 2020.
When village officials knew the police were coming, they tipped practitioners off in advance.
