(Minghui.org) Mr. Li Changxing has been detained for eight months in the Haizhu District Detention Center, Guangzhou City, since his arrest on April 19, 2017. He is incarcerated because he refused to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese Communist regime.
When Mr. Li's lawyer visited him on December 14, he found that his client's former health condition had recurred. The lead and manganese poisons which he had been exposed to years ago left his immune system depleted, and under the stress of detention Mr. Li has developed an extremely painful case of scabies all over his body.

Mr. Li's family went to the Nanshitou Police Station, the Haizhu District Police Department, the Domestic Security Division, and the Haizhu District Procuratorate to appeal for his release on humanitarian grounds because of his deteriorating health.
Mr. Li Chnagxing, 58, is a Chinese herbal doctor in Haizhu District of Guangzhou City. He was disabled at a young age because of the toxins he had been exposed to, but he recovered from all his illnesses after he began practicing Falun Gong.
