(Minghui.org) Ms. Han Fenghua is a Falun Gong practitioner from the Longtan District of Jilin City. The Jilin City Police Department took her to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City in August 2012.
Labor camp officials notified her son to pick her up on November 21, 2013, but she was instead picked up by 610 Office agents and local police officers and taken to a brainwashing center.
Authorities Lie to Ms. Han's Son
Ms. Han's son went to the labor camp to bring her home on November 21. Guan Guohua, director of the Gangyao Justice Station, met with him when he arrived. Staff members from the Gangyao Township Government, as well as Gangyao police officers, were present. They deceived Ms. Han's son by telling him, “Your mother will return home after she reports to the police station.”
Ms. Han's son believed them, so he went home to wait. After a couple of days, Ms. Han still did not return home, so her son inquired further. Guan told him that she would be released within three to four days. However, Ms. Han has still not returned home.
The family has now learned that Ms. Han was taken to a brainwashing center hidden within the Sishe Senior Housing units in Xiaoguang Village, Shahezi Township, Jilin Province. Police officer Yi Hongyu from the Gangyao Police Station is currently guarding her.
Arrests
Ms. Han, 59, formerly taught at the Gangyao Township Middle School in the Longtan District in Jilin Province. She later taught at the Jilin Province Public Works Engineering School. After the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999, she was arrested multiple times, and her home was ransacked because she refused to give up her belief. She has been forced into homelessness to avoid further persecution.
Several officers from the Domestic Security Bureau and the Police Department of Jilin Province broke into Ms. Han's rented accommodations at around 10:00 p.m. on July 31, 2012. They ransacked the place, taking away computers, printers, DVD writers, and other items, and arrested Ms. Han. The police used violence to interrogate her, causing her to repeatedly pass out and go into convulsions. The Jilin Police hastily transferred her to the fourth group of Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City in August 2012.
Shocked with Four Electric Batons
The day that Ms. Han was taken to the labor camp, ten officers tortured her. They handcuffed her to a bed. Captain Zhu Dan, team leader Jin Lihua, and officers Zhang Xiaohui and Feng Xiaochun used four electric batons to shock her simultaneously.
Ms. Han was already very weak from being tortured in the detention center, and showed symptoms of heart problems. As soon as they began using the four electric batons at the same time, she started to convulse and became incontinent. The guards then put her in a solitary and forced her to stand every day from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Ms. Han was beaten and sworn at whenever she was not able to stand. She was not allowed to go back to her cell to sleep until 10:00 p.m. every night. The torture made her vomit constantly. Although this could be heard by everyone, the guards did nothing. Two weeks later, Ms. Han suffered a heart attack at night. She passed out and was taken to the hospital for emergency care.
A month passed before Ms. Han's family learned of her whereabouts. She had many diseases before she began practicing Falun Gong, all of which went away after she began the practice. Ms. Han's condition deteriorated after her arrest.
Her family is very worried, especially her 90-year-old father. The family longs for her release and did not expect her to be detained again in the brainwashing center right after she was released from the labor camp.
