Middle School Teacher Ms. Han Fenghua from Jilin City Sent to Forced Labor Camp Again

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Han Fenghua is 58 years old this year. She was a teacher in Jilin City. After she was arrested on July 31, 2012, her whereabouts were unknown. After nearly a month, her family learned that she was incarcerated in Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City. They recently went to the labor camp three times to see Ms. Han. However, the guards turned them away every time.

Knowing that Falun Gong practitioners in Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp are severely persecuted, Ms. Han’s family was very anxious about her. It has been reported previously that the labor camp guards tortured Ms. Ming Yanbo, Ms. Pu Taishu, Ms. Wang Lanying, and Ms. Xu Hui in many different ways. They even used a “stretching bed.” In this barbaric torture, the police fasten the victim's limbs on a specially made bed with four rings. The person's hands and feet are fastened in the rings. Then the police apply force to the rings, so that the victim's body is pulled up away from the bed as their limbs are stretched away from their body. As more force is exerted, the victim passes out in a few seconds. If one is left in this position for more than ten minutes, both the arms and legs are dislocated and the person will be maimed permanently. Ms. Han’s family worried that she might have already been maimed and that was why the guards didn’t dare let anyone see her.

Around 10:00 p.m. on July 31, Jilin City police broke into Ms. Han’s rental unit, ransacked her home and took her into custody. No one knew where she had been taken. Her family visited different authorities seeking her whereabouts. However, the officials shielded each other and passed the buck. Her family didn’t know she was in Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp until nearly a month afterwards.

When the family first went to the forced labor camp to see Ms. Han, they were told that she was detained in Ward 4 and they could only see her on Thursdays. When the family went there on Thursday, however, the guards still would not allow them to see Ms. Han. The guards demanded to know if they practiced Falun Gong and wrote down their ID numbers. After a phone call to the local police station, the guards notified them that only immediate family, such as her son, were allowed to see her. However, her son, Mr. Zhu Bolin, was also arrested on July 31 and was being held in the Jilin City Detention Center even though he doesn’t practice Falun Gong. Additionally, the guards told her family to bring money next time to pay for her labor camp "expenses."

Ms. Han’s sisters then went to the labor camp with clothes and money. The guards accepted the money and clothes, but they refused to allow them to see her. The guards told her sisters to leave their contact numbers and said that they would call them when their request got approved.

So far her family hasn’t received a single phone call from the forced labor camp.

Ms. Han lives in Gangyao Town in the Longtan District, Jilin City. She has a bachelor's degree and was a teacher at the Gangyao Town Middle School. In order to seek justice for Falun Gong, she appealed in Beijing several times. The authorities arrested her and sent her to brainwashing centers twice. Moreover, the police ransacked her home and took her into custody multiple times, causing her to leave home in order to avoid further persecution.

On September 25, 2001, Wang Liansheng and five other officials from the Gangyao Town Police Station and Gangyao Town Government broke into Ms. Han’s home and tried to take her to a brainwashing center. Ms. Han kindly clarified the facts about Falun Gong. She told them that just by practicing Falun Gong, all her illnesses disappeared without costing the government any medical expenses, and that Falun Gong indeed is good. The officials ignored her, picked her up, and took her to their vehicle. Wang Liansheng grabbed her arm and shoved his knee into her armpit. She began to bleed and her entire body was black and blue. Many neighbors surrounded the evildoers and witnessed this.

In 2005, Ms. Han was transferred to the Public Service Engineering School. Because she told her students the facts about Falun Gong, the president of the school dismissed her and withheld her wages. She then clarified the facts to the president, but was reported to the police. The police illegally arrested her and took her to the Jilin City Third Detention Center. In early July 2005, she was sentenced to one year of forced labor. She remained steadfast in her belief and resisted the persecution with righteous thoughts. As a result, the forced labor camp refused to accept her and she was then released.
