Additional Persecution News from China – February 5, 2025 (5 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Li Faces Trial
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Abused in Heilongjiang Women’s Prison
3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Guozhi Arrested
4. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Several Practitioners Followed and Arrested by Police
5. [Shenze County, Hebei Province] Mr. Peng Jingjun Released After Serving Three Years in Prison

1. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Li Faces Trial

Ms. Li Li’s son received a call from the Yunhe District Court on Chinese New Year’s Eve (January 28, 2025) and was told that Ms. Li would be tried after the New Year holidays.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Abused in Heilongjiang Women’s Prison

Practitioners held in Heilongjiang Women’s Prison have been beaten or otherwise abused. Ms. Gu Aimin was not given toilet paper, and not allowed to wash her face or brush her teeth. She was forced to sit on a small stool from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. for eight days. Ms. Ma Shuhua, Ms. Wang Lihua, Ms. Chang Ping, Ms. Sun Shuyun, Ms. Zhao Shujie, and Ms. Tang Zhuyin were beaten.

3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Guozhi Arrested

Ms. Zhang Guozhi from Daoli District was arrested in early 2025 by officers from the local police station. Her computer and printer were confiscated. It has been over a month, and her family haven’t received any updates about her case.

4. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Several Practitioners Followed and Arrested by Police

Ms. Ma Xiaojuan and her husband were arrested by officers from the Qinzhou District Domestic Security Division on December 24, 2024. Her husband was later released.

Around the same time, another two practitioners, Mr. Yang and Mr. Wang, were also arrested.

5. [Shenze County, Hebei Province] Mr. Peng Jingjun Released After Serving Three Years in Prison

Mr. Peng Jingjun was released from the Jidong Prison in Tangshan City on February 3, 2025, after serving a three-year term.
