Additional Persecution News from China – February 8, 2025 (4 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhao Shuniu and Others Tortured in Prison

1. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhao Shuniu and Others Tortured in Prison

The Xinxiang Women’s Prison recently launched a 100-day campaign, aiming to “transform” all imprisoned practitioners. Guards tortured practitioners, including Ms. Zhao Shuniu and others, with various means, including depriving them of sleep and family visits, beating, and verbally abusing them.

2. [Beijing] Hearing for Ms. Zhang Xiufen’s Appeals Case Held

Ms. Zhang Xiufen was sentenced to six years in December 2024. She appealed with the Beijing Intermediate Court, which held a hearing of her case on January 10, 2025.

3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zheng Huixiang and Others Harassed

Ms. Zheng Huixiang was harassed at home by three officers from Gaomi City’s Xiguan Police Station on February 6, 2025. The officers took pictures of her against her will. They had body camcorders on their shoulders which were on during the whole process. Other practitioners who live nearby were also harassed that day.

4. [Shanghai] Practitioners Harassed and Under Close Surveillance

Mr. Liu Shunmin, Ms. You Xiuyun, Ms. Cai Yufang, Ms. Shao Hongzhen, and Ms. Qian Xiujun have been followed and monitored by the authorities since February 5, 2025.
