(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 12 provinces, where at least 32 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hu Jinfeng Sentenced

Ms. Hu Jinfeng, 44, originally from Baoding City, Hebei Province, was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 4,000 yuan by the Shunyi Court in Beijing. She was transferred to Tianhe Prison in Beijing from the Shunyi District Detention Center.

2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ji Hong Sentenced

Ms. Jin Hong of Jiaozhou City was deceived into going to the Fu’an Police Station on August 7, 2023. She was arrested and admitted to the Pudong Detention Center. Her trial was held on March 10, 2024. Her family was not notified as required by law. She was sentenced to three and a half years in prison.

3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Zhen Guangtian Incarcerated

Zhen Guangtian, gender unknown, of Hongqi Township was sentenced to four years in prison. He or she was put into a training camp in Xinjian Prison for two weeks on January 8, 2024, and then transferred to Tailai Prison.

4. [Baotou City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Meng Lili and Others Have Second Hearing

The Baotou City Intermediate Court tried Ms. Meng Lily, Mr. Zhang Ruitong, and Mr. Wang Ying at 9:30 a.m. on March 20, 2024. The practitioners and their attorneys presented their arguments.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Guihong Faces Indictment

Ms. Wang Guihong was admitted to the Yaojia Detention Center in March 2024. She is not allowed to have family visits. Her case was submitted to the Pulandian Procuratorate.

6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Song Xiaohua Detained

Song Xiaohua, gender unknown, of Chaoyang Township was arrested around March 11, 2024, when he or she talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Song is being held in the Harbin No. 2 Detention Center.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Xiuhua Faces Trial

Ms. Gao Xiuhua of Huangdao was arrested by officers from the Lingshanwei Police Station. She is being held in the Pudong Detention Center, where she will be tried on March 22, 2024.

8. [Chongqing] Ms. Huang Daifang Faces Trial

Ms. Huang Daifang of the Jiangjin District was arrested on April 25, 2023. She is being held in the Jiangjin District Detention Center. The Jiulongpo District Court scheduled her trial for March 25, 2024.

9. [Tianjin] Mr. Yao Zhanfeng Detained

Mr. Yao Zhanfeng of the Baodi District was arrested for distributing Falun Gong flyers. His home was ransacked. He is being held in the Baodi District Detention Center.

10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tang Jinxiu and Others Arrested

Practitioners Ms. Meng Ling, Ms. Tang Jinxiu, Ms. Jia Xingrong, and Ms. Li Caiqiong, who all live in the Shuangliu District, were arrested for distributing Falun Gong flyers. Ms. Meng’s home was ransacked. Ms. Jia and Ms. Li’s whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Chongqing] Ms. Huang Daifang Faces Trial

Ms. Huang Daifang of the Jiangjin District will be tried in the Jiulongpu Court on the morning of March 25, 2024.

12. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yingru Arrested

Ms. Wang Yingru was arrested by officers from the local police station on February 20, 2024. Her whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Lin Zhenqing Arrested

Mr. Lin Zhenqing of Xixia City was arrested by Yangchun Town Police Station officers on the morning of March 19, 2024, when he was in the Yangchun Town Market talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The officers ransacked his home and seized his Falun Gong books. He was taken to the Domestic Security Division for questioning. He did not cooperate and refused to sign the police record. He was released that afternoon.

14. [Dunhuang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Wu Yun Arrested

Mr. Wu Yun was arrested at home on the morning of March 14, 2024.

15. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Feng Xiaoyan Detained

Ms. Feng Xiaoyan of the Jiang’an District was arrested by officers from the Laodongjie Police Station. She was admitted to the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center.

16. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Qiao Guili and Others Arrested

Ms. Qiao Guili was arrested at her home by Dehui City police on March 11, 2024. Her Falun Gong books, media players, and other items were confiscated. She could not walk. The police did not take her away. Instead they handcuffed her caregiver, Li, first name unknown, who is a practitioner, and took her away.

Ms. Wang Shumin, Grandma Wu, and Grandma Liu were also arrested. Grandma Liu was released.

17. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Luo Fangli Detained

Ms. Luo Fangli was arrested at home by officers from the Liquan County Police Department and the Chengguan Police Station on the morning of March 20, 2024. Her home was ransacked. It is not known where she is being detained.

18. [Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhu Yunxia Sentenced

Ms. Zhu Yunxia was sentenced to a year in prison. She was released on March 14, 2024.

19. [Mengying County, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Shi Yuncheng of Yuezhuang Village, Zhang Lijin of Taibaozhuang Village, and Zhang Mingshi of Lianhezhuang Village were harassed by the police in March 2024. A Falun Gong book was confiscated from Zhang Mingshi’s home.

20. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhao Jiayu Missing for Six Months

Ms. Zhao Jiayu, around 70, who lives in Jingkou in the Shapingba District, has been missing since November 2023.

21. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Jun Detained

Mr. Liu Jiun of Chicheng County was arrested by director Song Xingwu from the Chengguan Police Station on the morning of March 7, 2024, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was taken to the police station, and his cell phone was confiscated. His home was ransacked. He was detained for seven days and released on March 14.

22. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Shi Wen Sentenced

On the morning of March 20, 2023, Mr. Shi Wen, in his 60s, of the Wanghua District talked to people in the Meiguicheng area about the persecution of Falun Gong. Someone reported him. He was arrested by Guangming Police Station officers. The Wanghua Court sentenced him to a year in prison. He was abused in the detention center. His legs became swollen and oozed pus. He was released nine months later, on December 19, 2023.
