Understanding “Losses” in Life

(Minghui.org) I work in a Chinese communist government agency. I became the youngest senior engineer in the agency twenty years ago. A few years later, my department was transferred to the civil servant management and my title rank was lowered, leading to a reduced salary.

When I heard that some senior professionals switched back to their original titles through various relationships, I thought to myself, “I am a Falun Dafa cultivator and my life has been re-arranged by Master. I should let nature take its course.” I was not moved. However, every year the salary gap increased and I got to thinking about my losses.

I talked to a neighbor a few days ago who told me that in his agency, many people who were like me had returned to their original titles. He also said that the management had issued a document about it, and he told me to look for it immediately. Pleased with this possibility I quickly went to work and found the HR personnel and asked if there was any such policy. The personnel said there was no document. I thought, “Should I ask others to help me?” Later I reconsidered, “Forget it! That policy might be for other agencies. I have already lost so much over the years. I should let nature take its course!”

I had a dream that night. In the dream a person was going to rent out a house. I thought, “That house belongs to me. Why is he renting it out?” I walked into the house to take a look. However, when I entered, that person locked the door and threw a burning object into the house. I knew that he wanted to kill me. I smashed the glass window with a stone, but I still could not get out.

I shouted for Master to save me. The next moment I found that I was already outside of the house. Master saved me. I looked up and saw a colleague walking towards me with two apples in her hands. We crossed the barbed wire fence surrounding the house and walked toward the road. I looked back and saw that the house was emitting thick smoke. I knew I was now safe.

When I woke up, I wondered why I had such a dream. What was the meaning? I then remembered about looking for the job title yesterday. Wasn’t the house in my dream—such a big property—indicating the job title that I had lost? It had become someone else’s property and I only thought that the house belonged to me, thus that person tried to kill me. Why was this so?

Master said,

“The creditors of the karmic debts you’ve owed lifetime after lifetime and even the victims of your massive karmic debts insist that you pay, so what can be done? The Fa principles of the universe are also assessing every single person...”

“While Master is saving you, He also bears your sins for you and even finds all kinds of ways to offset your karma...” (“Stay Far Away From Peril”)

I understood at once. It was because of my debts that I owed in my past lives. Master used my job to resolve and transform them. If I hadn’t cultivated Dafa, if it weren’t for Master’s protection, it might have become a life debt! I only had the thought of checking it out and seeing if I could get it back, and that person immediately wanted my life!

With this realization, my entire body was in shock. I feel fortunate to have Master, and at the same time shocked by the seriousness of the laws of the universe. “No loss, no gain.” (Zhuan Falun) As a cultivator, there is definitely a reason for losing everything in ordinary society, including fame, gain, and sentimentality. A human thought might lead to a disaster. Letting nature take its course is accepting Master’s arrangement. I shouted in my heart, “Master’s arrangement is the best! Master’s arrangement is the best! Thank you, Master! Thank you, Dafa!”
