(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities in Zurich on August 26 and in Bern on September 2, 2023, to introduce the spiritual practice and tell people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) decades-long persecution. Many people talked with practitioners and signed the petition to end the CCP’s brutality.

People Condemn the Persecution

When she saw the large “Falun Dafa is good” banner, Marama, who is nearly 80, said she saw a similar information booth at a health expo more than 20 years ago. She signed a petition to support Falun Gong practitioners and asked a practitioner for more information.

After talking with the practitioner, Marama said that she hopes practitioners can stop the CCP’s persecution, “Organ harvesting from living people is intolerable. It’s too horrible. Oh my God, how could someone do this?

“I saw information [about the persecution] in the media,” she said. “If people gather together in your country [China], they will be arrested. I still remember it.

“There are people who are dedicated to stopping this persecution. Outstanding people like you [Falun Dafa practitioners] are working hard for this goal.”

She said she planned to learn more about the persecution and also to go to the group practice site in a local garden.

Before she left she said, “I completely support Falun Dafa practitioners.”

Despite the steady rain computer engineer Sylvain talked with a practitioner for a long time. He’s traveled to China and is therefore interested in Falun Dafa. After hearing about the CCP’s persecution, he said, “This is very terrible. We can’t imagine that such a thing would happen in Switzerland. Maybe there were Nazi concentration camps back then, but things like this still happening today, it’s really sad.”

He signed the petition and said, “If I can provide some small help to improve the situation, why not do it?” He hoped that practitioners could collect more signatures which would help stop the CCP’s brutality. “The more people that sign, the greater the international pressure. I know that information is censored in China, so external pressure is needed. The more people pay attention, the more they will sign the petition. There will be changes.”

People Should Follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance

Many people heard about Falun Dafa for the first time and they all agreed with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance that Falun Gong practitioners follow.

After signing the petition, truck driver Samuel Ramser pointed to the words Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance on the information leaflet and said, “These are peaceful values, and people should live according to such principles. I fully support it.”

He said, "The CCP’s persecution is very bad, and I hope that there can be human rights in China and that different people and groups who are persecuted can be free. These are the human rights they should enjoy.” He also hopes that through his signature, the Swiss government will act bravely to help stop the persecution.

Regarding Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Andrea Wüthrich, who works in a flower shop, said, “It’s very beneficial.” She said that this is what people need now, especially Compassion and Forbearance, “Because people today lack kindness and tolerance. They are focused entirely on themselves, paying no attention to others, and are unwilling to give their time to others.”

Andrea Wüthrich likes Falun Dafa’s Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

She said she signed the petition to support Falun Gong practitioners and hopes her signature will contribute to ending the terrible persecution. She said, “I hope they [practitioners] can live without fear. I hope I can contribute to making the world better. If everyone can spend a little time, a lot can be changed.”
