(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 10 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yu Yingzhu Faces Trial
The case against Ms. Yu Yingzhu from the Shifeng District was submitted to the Yuhua District Court on May 26, 2023. She will be tried in court at 10 a.m., September 8, 2023.
2. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Zhengfang Detained
Ms. Wu Zhengfang and several other practitioners were arrested in Shizhong District on the afternoon of April 14, 2023. Ms. Wu was released on bail pending trial the next day. It was learned that Ms. Wu was arrested again and detained.
3. [Helong City, Jilin Province] Practitioners Fu and Lin Sentenced to Prison
Practitioners Fu and Lin were arrested on April 7, 2022. Fu and Lin were sentenced to three years and three and a half years in prison, respectively.
4. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Zhan Arrested
Zhan was arrested on September 3, 2023.
5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Gao Suodi Harassed
Ms. Gao Suodi was harassed many times since July 1999. Ms. Gao was 93 when she died in 2023. The day before she died, several officers came to harass her.
6. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wu Xuezhang Detained
Mr. Wu Xuezhang, in his 70s, has been detained for more than 20 days in the Quzhou Detention Center. His family is not allowed to visit him.
7. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Hu Shenjia Detained
Hu Shenjia is held in the Qingyuan District Detention Center.
8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Three practitioners from Hetun Village of Jianye Township including Hua Fengling, Kang Suyan, and Fu Wenxia, were harassed by two officers on the afternoon of August 31, 2023. The practitioners were asked whether they still practiced Falun Gong and to provide their cell phone numbers.
9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qu Mingzhu Arrested and Detained
Ms. Qu Mingzhu from Bin County was arrested in Xiangfang District at 9 p.m. on August 18, 2023. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books. She was held in the Yaziquan Detention House for more than 15 days.
10. [Pingliang City, Gansu Province] Eight Practitioners Persecuted
Ms. Ren Shaolin and Ren Shaoqing were reported to police when they distributed information about Falun Gong and were arrested at home on May 10, 2023. The police confiscated a computer. Ms. Ren Shaolin was fined 1,000 yuan and was detained for 15 days. Ren Shaoqing was detained for 10 days.
Mr. Cao Xi, 83, distributed information about Falun Gong. His home was ransacked on April 13, 2023. The police confiscated his Falun Gong books and truth-clarifying materials. He was released on bail pending trial.
Gao Lingyun, 84, was harassed at home by police in August 2023.
Ms. Liu Juanying, Ms. Wu Caihui, and Ms. Li Yuqin were harassed in August 2023. They were pressured to sign a guarantee statement.
Ms. Tan Xiuhua from Jingchuan County was released in June 2023 after being detained for three years.
Mr. Wang Funong was placed under eighteen months of residential surveillance in April 2023.
11. [Helong City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Qingju Sentenced to Four and a Half Years in Prison
Ms. Sun Qingju is a retired kindergarten teacher. She was arrested by officers from the Hebei Police Station on August 31, 2022 and was later sentenced to four and a half years in prison, and was sent to the Changchun Women’s Prison.
12. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Guan Zhongfeng Arrested and Detained
Ms. Guan Zhongfeng was arrested when she distributed information about Falun Gong in a residential community on the afternoon of August 18, 2023. Her home was ransacked. She was detained for 15 days and was released on September 1, 2023.
13. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Cong Peixi’s Home Ransacked
Four police officers in Zhoucun District went to Mr. Cong Peixi’s home on August 30, 2023. They ransacked his home and confiscated two laptops, a desktop computer, a media player, a cell phone, and three hard disks.
14. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ni Guiyun Faces Trial
Ms. Ni Guiyuan will be tried in the Funing Court at 9 a.m. on September 5, 2023.
Three officers including Jiang Zixu from the Haining Road Police Station went to Ms. Ni Guiyun’s home on August 14, 2023. They attempted to take Ms. Ni to a detention center but were stopped by a doctor because of her high blood pressure.
15. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Zhang Qiupeng Arrested
Mr. Zhang Qiupeng was reported to police and was arrested at home by several officers from the Quanning Police Station on July 24, 2023. The police confiscated a Falun Gong book, a cell phone, two media players, some paper bills imprinted with information about Falun Gong, and four truth-clarifying booklets. Mr. Zhang was released that afternoon.
