1. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Update on Arrested Practitioners

More than twenty practitioners were arrested on May 9, 2023, during a coordinated raid conducted by the Longkou Domestic Security Division and its police stations. By June 14, Ms. Ge Lijuan, Ms. Jiao Linhui, and Ms. Chen Guifang were formally arrested and the others were released.

Mr. Wang Shude was released from the Zhangjiagou Detention Center on the morning of June 14, 2023, after his family paid the Domestic Security Division bail money the day before.

Ms. Zhang Shuqin was released from the Yantai Detention Center on the afternoon of June 13, 2023.

Ms. Li Fei was given house arrest and released on the afternoon of June 14, 2023.

2. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cui Hongxiu Detained

Ms. Cui Hongxiu was arrested by Donghai Police Station officers on April 24, 2022. The Jidong County Domestic Security Division and the County Political and Legal Affairs Committee were involved in her arrest. She was released on bail and was ordered to report to the police station and the Domestic Security Division frequently.

She was arrested again on June 2, 2023, by officers from the Donghai Police Station. They took her to the Jidong Court, then to the Jixi Detention Center. Her family asked about her situation and was told to wait for 15 days.

3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Bi Xintai and Ms. Lu Yuzhen Arrested

Mr. Bi Xintai and his wife Ms. Lu Yuzhen were followed and arrested on the morning of June 12, 2023, when they distributed Falun Gong flyers. Their home was ransacked. Their computers, printers, and other belongings were confiscated. Their whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhao Guiping and Ms. Yang Xiaozhi of the Hongtoushan area, and Ms. Liu Lianhua of the Beisanjia area were arrested on June 15, 2023, when they talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Hailong Lake Scenic Spot in Meihekou City, Jilin Province. Four officers dragged them into a police car.

5. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Ying Detained

Ms. Xu Ying was arrested on June 7, 2023, by officers from Fusong County’s Quanyang Forestry Domestic Security Division. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books. She was detained for 15 days.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Xu Bin and Ms. Zang Hongyan Sentenced

Mr. Xu Bin and Ms. Zang Hongyan were arrested on June 5, 2023. They were held in the Jilin Province Women’s Prison. Mr. Xu’s family went to visit him on June 12, but guards refused to allow them to see him. Mr. Xu was sentenced to three years in prison. Ms. Zang was sentenced to two years in prison.

7. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wu Yundi and Ms. Tang Defen Harassed

Ms. Wu Yundi and Ms. Tang Defen, who live in the old civil affairs bureau dormitory on Zhongshan Road, were harassed at home on the afternoon of June 7, 2023, by two Zhongshanmen Community clerks, who were following orders from the Xinhuang County 610 Office. They photographed them claiming it was for the yearly retiree physical examination survey.

8. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Shen Bogui Detained

Mr. Shen Bogui was arrested at home by officers from the Nanhu Police Station on the morning of June 15, 2023. They ransacked his home and detained him.

9. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Qiming Arrested

Mr. Wang Qiming of Guangrao County, 82, was arrested at home by four Guangrao County Domestic Security Division officers on the morning of June 13, 2023. His home was ransacked. He was released that afternoon.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Lirong Detained

Ms. Zhang Lirong was arrested at the Sandian Farm in the Dongxihu District by Sandian Police Station officers on the evening of June 13, 2023. The next day police ransacked her home in the late afternoon. She is likely being held in the No. 1 Administrative Detention in the Erzigou area.

11. [Beijing] Mr. Shi Yingji Still Held

Ms. Zhao Caihong of Dazhuangke Township, Ms. Zhang Yanrong of Yongning Town, and Mr. Shi Yingji were arrested on June 10, 2023. Ms. Zhao and Ms. Zhang were released. But Mr. Shi is still being held in the Yanqing Detention Center.

12. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhu Jingrong Released on Bail

Ms. Zhu Jingrong of the Beipei District was arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on June 5, 2023, after someone reported her. Six officers from the Beibei District Police Department and two community clerks ransacked her home at 4:00 p.m. on June 7. They seized 57 copies of Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, 800 yuan in paper currency with Falun Gong messages printed on them, a cell phone, and a media player. She was held in a detention center before she was released on bail at 5:00 p.m. on June 8 because of her high blood pressure.

13. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yan Shanwei Detained

Mr. Yan Shanwei was arrested by Wanli Police Station officers on June 12, 2023. He is being held in the Development Zone Detention Center.

14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ma Lijuan Detained for 36 Days

Ms. Ma Lijuan of the Ganjingzi District was released from the Dalian City Detention Center on June 1, 2023, after she was held there for 36 days.
