(Minghui.org) I was astounded when I read the recent article “How Humankind Came To Be” by Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa. The realization that life is arranged cheered me and gave me renewed energy.
Master Li wrote,
“Everything that happens in one’s life—whether it seems warranted or not—is, in reality, the karmic consequence of what one did in one’s past lives, for better or for worse. The amount of blessings and virtue that one built up in one’s past lives determine what fortune is in store in this lifetime, or perhaps the next. If one lives a blessed and virtuous life now, perhaps it will translate in one’s next lifetime into a high position and salary, or it might translate into different kinds of wealth and fortune. And this would also include whether one has a happy family, or even how one’s children turn out, and so on. This is the fundamental reason why some people are wealthy and others poor, why some hold positions of high rank while others are destitute and homeless. It’s nothing like the diabolical nonsense that sinister communism spouts about equality between rich and poor. The universe is fair. Those who do good are blessed for it, while those who do bad things will face payback—if not in this life, then in the next. For this is an immutable law of the universe! Heaven, Earth, the Divine, and the Creator alike are compassionate toward all lives. Heaven and Earth, just as with man and the divine, were made by the Creator, and it is never the case that He plays favorites with some lives and shortchanges others. The reason some people lead happy lives and others do not all comes down to rewards and retributions for past deeds.” (“How Humankind Came To Be”)
This passage helped me to understand that the notions I’ve had all these years were incorrect. For years, I have been struggling to get things I desire, all at the expense of physical and mental stress that have taken a toll on my health. What a mistake!
Reading the article again, I learned what the “Divine Realm” and the “Three Realms” are. I came to know that the divine exists and that the world was created by the divine. Questions that had bothered me for decades were resolved––the divine world does exist beyond our physical dimension, and it is a much better place than where we live now.
The article said that the universe is not pure, and is facing destruction, and that the divine is saving people. From this I could sense Master Li’s concern and compassion. If people do as the article advises—do good deeds and avoid bad ones, help others, be kind, and worship the divine—the world will be a better place!
In today’s China, no one feels safe. They have to be extremely careful about what they talk about, as anything deemed sensitive by the communist regime can lead to arrest or even more severe consequences. When children go out to play, their parents have to keep a close eye on them so that they do not get kidnapped and have their organs harvested. Mainland China is like a hell where moral degeneration is everywhere. Atheism has deprived people of kindness, and the devastating sense of helplessness made me frustrated. Why was I born in such a miserable place? When can I lead a peaceful, safe, and worry-free life?
Reading the article yet again, I understood that by enduring hardship, people can build up merit and virtue and be taken back to the divine world. That is, the Creator is saving people with compassion. From now on, I will remain modest and be a good person, for my future and so that the divine will save me. From the bottom of my heart, I thank Master Li for telling me these principles that I had never heard before. Because of ignorance, I had fallen deeper and deeper into the swamp due to karma. But now I am taking the first step out of the sea of suffering.
I want to tell everyone I know that Master Li is able to cleanse us and bring us back to our true selves with pure hearts. The world will be better and people will be kinder to each other. By following Master Li, we will be saved and return to the wonderful place we came from, and not be trapped in the filthy swamp.
