1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xie Meikai Sentenced to One Year and Two Months in Prison

1. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xie Meikai Sentenced to One Year and Two Months in Prison
Ms. Xie Meikai, 78, from Xindu District, was tried in the Xindu District Court at 10 a.m. on May 30, 2023. She was sentenced to a one-year-and-two-month prison term with two years of probation, and fined 2000 yuan.
2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Case Against Mr. Yang Yong Submitted to the Court
The case against Mr. Yang Yong from Licheng District was recently submitted to the Tianqiao District Court by the Tianqiao District Procuratorate.
3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yan Shanwei and His Wife Ms. Li Yumei Arrested
Mr. Yan Shanwei who lives in the Dalian Development Zone was arrested by officers from the Wanli Police Station on June 10, 2023 for distributing information about Falun Gong. A group of officers from the Wanli Police Station went to his home at around 4 p.m. that day and ransacked it. They confiscated two sets of Falun Gong books, a set of photos of Falun Gong’s founder, a printer, a laptop computer, 100 copies of informational materials about Falun Gong, two media players, three amulets, ten hand-written copies of Zhuan Falun, and a cell phone. They arrested Mr. Yan’s wife, Ms. Li Yumei. Ms. Li refused to cooperate with the police and was released the next evening because of her high blood pressure.
4. [Luohe City, Henan Province] Practitioner Baomin Arrested
Practitioner Baomin from Fancheng Town of Linying County, about 50 years old, was arrested around May 13, 2023 and has been detained in the Linying County Detention Center.
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Litao and Her Daughter Arrested
Ms. Wang Litao and her daughter were summoned to the Wanli Police Station on the morning of June 1, 2023. They were arrested after they arrived there. They have been detained in the Yaojia Detention Center.
6. [Huimin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Xinzhong Arrested
Mr. Wang Xinzhong lives in Mahua Village, Sunwu Town, Huimin County. He was arrested on May 8, 2023 by twelve people from the Huimin County Police Department, Chengguan Police Station, and Sunwu Town government officials including Ma Weiguo, head of the 610 Office.
