(Minghui.org) Saturday, May 13, 2023, was a warm, sunny day. Falun Dafa practitioners from all parts of Germany held an event near the Brandenburg Gate to celebrate the 31st anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction.
The Brandenburg Gate is a world-renowned historic site, and many tourists stopped to watch practitioners’ performances and take photos.
The date coincides with the birthday of Falun Dafa’s founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi. To honor the grand occasion, practitioners performed waist drums, lion dances, and musical choruses in the square. At four o’clock in the afternoon a grand parade departed from the Brandenburg Gate and marched towards Schloßplatz.

The parade started at the Brandenburg Gate, passed through Theologische Fakultät, Oranienburger Str., Rosenthalsse, Alexanderplatz, and ended at Schloßplatz. Many people along the route said this was the first time they heard about Falun Dafa and said the parade was beautiful.

All these things are unbearable.
“We cannot turn a blind eye to such massive violations of human rights or violations of freedom of expression and religion. But it’s not just a politician’s task. Everyone in Berlin has a responsibility to speak out loud that what is happening is wrong. Sometimes such systems crash faster than you think. The events of 1989 showed this. Perhaps this will soon happen in China as well.”

Huang Yuhan, a member of the German Democratic Union (CDU) and a Chinese descendant, also spoke at the Brandenburg Gate event. He mentioned that if the CCP dares to kill groups like Falun Dafa, it will sooner or later carry out the same persecution against others. This poses a threat to people in the world who yearn for freedom.
He said, “We must know that when the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa practitioners with such brazenness, this is not just a matter between the CCP and Falun Dafa. This is a torture of the conscience of each and every one of us ordinary people. Should we remain silent in the face of such evil? When we turn a blind eye to the injustices suffered by others, disaster is not far from ourselves. When abusers find that they don’t have to bear any consequences for their atrocities, they only get worse. And when there is a regime in the world that tramples on human rights and threatens other countries and individuals with force, it poses a threat to all other people in the world who believe in universal values and freedom.”
He stressed, “What is remarkable is that despite the brutal persecution, we have never heard of any violent acts by Falun Dafa practitioners. On the contrary, they have been expressing their views rationally and peacefully throughout. This sets an example for everyone who stands for freedom of speech.
“When history turns this page, we will not only remember the kindness and courage of Falun Dafa practitioners, but we will also know that the atrocities of those dictators will be nailed to the pillar of shame in history and will always be used by the world.”
German Doctor: Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Is an Eternal Wisdom
German doctor Emke admires Chinese civilization, and believes that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is an eternal wisdom.
KD Ehmke is a German doctor. He went to Beijing and Shanghai in 2001. The four weeks he spent there gave him a closeness to China and Chinese people. He visited many temples and cultural sites, and got a little taste of China’s 5,000 years of civilization.
He pointed to the three words: “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” on the banner, and said that each word is extremely important to today’s people, to the existence of life, and is the basis for the existence of life on earth.
He said, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is one whole, an eternal wisdom, a divine wisdom that people have forgotten. Because they only pursue material things and enjoyment.”

Florian Busch, a musician, told practitioners, “Spring is the season of ‘completion’, the time when everything is born, and it is a time of revival for nature and for people. When I saw this group and this rally, I had a lot of feelings.”
He pointed to the rally and said, “I have always been concerned about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa. I can’t even think about it, because the organ harvesting and everything during the persecution since 1999 is so bloody.
“I am well aware that these disasters come from the Chinese Communist Party. The CCP is now falling or is about to collapse, and this is the result of the divine law coming into play, and all people are in it. The standard set by a higher power determines this.”
He believes that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is the hope he sees, and he feels that the more people follow this principle, the more beneficial it is to society and can help people today return to the right path.
He said, “We misused what God has given, and now we must return to the value of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. This is the divine law, this is the law of the universe, and it is fully in line with universal values.”
Tourists: The Falun Dafa Activity Is Beautiful.
Sidnei and Marci from Amsterdam noticed practitioners in yellow T-shirts doing the exercises and thought it was beautiful. Sterni, who never saw Falun Dafa before, said he felt very comfortable and felt that he hoped to learn the exercises the next time he saw practitioners.

Urika Heitkamt, a teacher, came to Brandenburg with a group of friends from Tanzania. When they noticed practitioners doing the exercises, they stopped to take pictures, and asked what it was.
“Our guests are interested in the exercises, so they took pictures,” Urika smiled and said, “It makes me think of people who are calm and seem to have peace of mind.”
Regarding Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, she said, “It’s a good principle, my guests and I are committed to volunteering, and this is the universal value we cherish.”

In the afternoon, as practitioners prepared to take group photos, Mr. Vincent from Mozambique and his friend took a picture with practitioners in the background. They said this was the first time they saw or heard about Falun Dafa, and felt that the atmosphere was very good, so they wanted a photo to remember the event.
Vincent, who lived in Berlin for more than forty years, said, “I experienced the period when Berlin was divided into East and West.” Referring to the CCP’s persecution in China, he said, “There is still an authoritarian system today. It is really sad. People are not allowed to express their thoughts. This is a sign of backwardness.”
