(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Chengfa Tried in Court
2. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Eight Practitioners Tried in Court
3. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Chunrong Arrested
4. [Duolun County, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Tian Ruiping Arrested and Detained
5. [Beijing] Bail Pending Trial Against Ms. Liu Yaping Canceled
6. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Shumin Harassed
1. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Chengfa Tried in Court
Mr. Wang Chengfa from Chidong Town of Qichun County was tried in court on November 17, 2023.
2. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Eight Practitioners Tried in Court
Eight practitioners were tried in the Laizhou City Court on November 29, 2023. They are Lin Hongjie, Xie Qingcai, Teng Qinhua, Pan Zhaohua, Gao Rijun, Feng Guoping, Yang Guofu, and Fang Ruiqin. The practitioners defended their innocence during the trial. They will be tried again in December 2023.
3. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Chunrong Arrested
Ms. Liu Chunrong was arrested by officers from the Binnan Police Department on the morning of November 29, 2023. She was released at 10 p.m.
4. [Duolun County, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Tian Ruiping Arrested and Detained
Ms. Tian Ruiping, around 60, was arrested by officers including Yan Shubin, head of the Qiaoxi Police Station, around November 20, 2023 for distributing desktop calendars. She was released later that day but was arrested again a few days later. She was sent to the Duolun County Detention House.
5. [Beijing] Bail Pending Trial Against Ms. Liu Yaping Canceled
The bail pending trial against Ms. Liu Yaping was lifted on November 11, 2023 under an order signed by the head of the Pinggu District Police Department. Her Falun Gong books and truth-clarifying materials that were confiscated from her home were destroyed. Her computer, printer and other personal belongings were returned.
6. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Shumin Harassed
Ms. Zhou Shumin, 80, lives in Beiquge Village, Chengshan Town, Rongcheng City. Ms. Zhou and Ms. Sun Yuping were arrested by officers from the Chengshan Police Station when the two practitioners were distributing information about Falun Gong in the Chengshan Market on April 22, 2023. Their homes were ransacked. Their Falun Gong books and truth-clarifying materials were confiscated. They were released later that day.
Ms. Zhou was harassed at home by county police officers and government officials on November 16, 2023. She was pressured to sign a guarantee statement.
