(Minghui.org) Practitioners were invited to participate in the Victoriaville Peace Festival in Quebec from September 23 to 24, 2023. Many people learned about Falun Dafa and watched the exercise demonstrations. Some learned the exercises during the event.
Anne Beaumier, one of the festival organizers, thanked practitioners for participating. She said, “I ask my employees to put the Falun Dafa booth close to the entrance every year, because this booth brings a calm atmosphere, almost like an energy dome. People will enjoy it as soon as they come in.”

Guilian (right) said she’s fascinated by Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Guilian Doyon, a retired teacher, said that she’s been on a spiritual journey and is searching for something profound. She was fascinated by the down-to-earth teaching of Falun Dafa, especially Compassion. “This is what I’ve been looking for,” she said. “It’s time for us to wake up and find our spirituality.” She bought two books, Falun Gong and Zhuan Falun.
Sylvie Laflamme told a practitioner that she saw many stars when she did the fourth exercise. “They are beautiful, as shiny as diamonds! I’ve never seen this before! So many! So magical!”
Sylvie said she saw shiny stars like diamonds while she was doing the fourth exercise.
Sylvie initially thought there was something wrong with her eyes, but she eventually realized it wasn’t her eyes. She saw the stars all over the area where they were doing the exercises for quite a while before they disappeared.
Collecting signatures to end the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution
Many people signed the petition calling for an end to the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa. Roland Aubry said she’s seen practitioners at the festival every year, “This is a nice group. They reflect on themselves and improve their hearts.” She and her husband both condemned the persecution.
Christiane told a practitioner, “I support you! I’m against the Chinese Communist Party’s genocide of Chinese people. The Chinese people have been imprisoned by the false information spread by the CCP. It’s inhumane! ”

While learning how to fold origami lotus flowers, many people learned about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China.
Some event organizers from other places invited practitioners to participate in their future activities. A couple from Ottawa said, “We’d be thrilled to have you demonstrate the Falun Dafa exercises at our festival!”
