(Minghui.org) (Continued from Part 1) May 13, 2022 is World Falun Dafa Day and the 30th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s introduction to the world. Elected officials in Pennsylvania issued certificates, resolutions, proclamations, and letters of greeting to mark Falun Dafa Day and commend Falun Dafa’s contribution to the local community and the world.

Citation from State Representative Austin Davis

The citation reads, “The House of Representatives of Pennsylvania takes great pleasure in recognizing those organizations which contribute to the benefit of their communities and ultimately to all citizens of this commonwealth.

“On May 13, 1992, in a humble schoolhouse in northern China, Mr. Li Hongzhi began teaching Falun Gong (or Falun Dafa), introducing to modern China a practice with roots extending back thousands of years. By early 1999, there were 100 million practicing Falun Gong in China alone. Falun Gong has transcended cultural and national boundaries to bring physical health, joy, and peace of mind to millions of others around the globe. On this day, the House of Representatives extends appreciation to Falun Dafa practitioners for bringing this life-enhancing ancient art to the people of the Commonwealth, celebrating truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance.

“The House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania salutes the Thirtieth Anniversary of World Falun Dafa Day.

Background: What Is Falun Dafa?

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings—which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance—and learned the five exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.
