(Minghui.org) After years of Falun Dafa practitioners’ persistent efforts in raising awareness about the persecution, many Chinese people have come to understand the facts and voiced their support for Dafa. From police officers to retired workers, many quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and refused to become accomplices to its crimes against humanity. Some treasured the informational materials distributed by practitioners and helped to spread the word.
Below are stories shared by four different practitioners.
Police Officer Quit the CCP
While staying at my daughter’s home in the city to help care for my grandson, I took the opportunity to mail letters to law enforcement, the procuratorate, the court and judiciary bureaus, urging them not to participate in the persecution. When my grandson saw me doing it, he offered to mail the letters for me on his way to school. A friend of his became curious, seeing him mail letters every day, and asked what it was all about.
My grandson opened a letter and read it with his friend. Coming to understand the severity of the persecution, the friend asked to take a letter home to show his father, the chief of a police station. The friend told his father that he had quit the youth league and he also urged his father to quit the CCP and stop persecuting Falun Dafa. His father was touched and said, “Alright, I will quit the Party.”
Retired Mine Worker Officer Quit the CCP
I was buying some groceries one day in 2016 when the vegetable vendor asked me if I knew anyone who practiced Falun Dafa. Surprised, I said, “I practice Falun Dafa. Do you need any help?”
The vendor got closer to me and said, “I retired from a coal mine. I heard that Falun Dafa practitioners can help people quit the Chinese Communist Party. Is that true?”
“I was just about to talk to you about this, and now you asked me first.”
I explained to him why Falun Dafa practitioners urge people to quit the CCP and how he could do so. He was very happy. “That’s wonderful! The Communist Party is just evil! Please help me quit it.” I asked him to share what he'd learned with his family and friends and urge them to quit the CCP as well.
Another time I talked to a pear vendor at the local farmer’s market. He said that he couldn’t even finish high school due to financial difficulty and he asked me to help him quit the CCP’s youth organizations with his real name. As I said goodbye to him, he asked me, “Do you still have that square thing?” I knew he was referring to amulets bearing auspicious messages about Falun Dafa. I had none on me though, but I ran back home to get some and returned in half an hour. He was very happy to see me again and promised to tell his family and friends that Falun Dafa is good.
I have a friend who runs a convenience store with her husband. They refused to quit the CCP when I first brought up the topic. A few years later, my friend was diagnosed with a brain tumor and asked me to visit her. I went and comforted her. I also brought them some informational materials about Dafa and urged them to quit the CCP. She and her husband immediately agreed. She then gradually recovered, and her friends were all amazed by her miraculous recovery. Her two sons also quit the CCP soon after.
Signing the Petition to Sue Jiang Zemin
Several fellow practitioners and I went to a farmer’s market in 2016 to collect petition signatures to support the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the CCP who ordered the persecution of Falun Dafa. Meanwhile, we also urged people to quit the CCP.
To our surprise, people surrounded us and they couldn’t wait to sign their names. One person even brought a gong and rang it to attract more people. It was thrilling to see how supportive they were.
One day, my mother and I went to a village to distribute materials and urge people to quit the CCP. When we came back around noon, we had a long list of names of people who agreed to quit the CCP. We were also amazed to find that our shoes and clothes stayed dry, even when it had been snowing the entire time.
Another time I drove a electric motorcycle to a community fair with two practitioners to clarify the facts. Not long after we started to head back, the motorcycle suddenly broke down. I asked Master for help. The engine then turned on again and began moving. When we arrived at the ridge of a mountain, the motorcycle engine shut off again. I asked Master for help and recited the phrase “Falun Dafa is good.” The motorcycle started and took us all the way home. I checked the battery upon arriving home and realized that it had been completely discharged. It’s amazing how it still worked to take us back through the mountain.
People Treasure Dafa Materials
I met a tall, middle-aged man when I went out to clarify the truth the other day. I gave him a Dafa booklet and he told me that he had a large collection of such booklets at home and that he enjoyed reading the stories.
Buying some potatoes at a farmer’s market, I talked to the potato farmer, a warm and elderly man. As I began to talk to him about Falun Dafa, he smiled and said to me, “We are the same kind of people.”
“Do you also practice?”
“I’ve been reading your materials every night. I can’t get enough of them.”
I was even more touched when he said to me, “Our path may seem arduous right now, but the future will be bright.”
I asked him if he had quit the CCP. He said his son, a teacher, had helped him quit the Party many years before.
