(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities on the square in Dickson to remind people that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners throughout the past 21 years. They demonstrated the exercises and invited people to sign a petition to condemn the persecution. Many people stopped by to check out the activities and to sign the petition. On July 20, 2020, they held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy.
On July 18, 2020, practitioners held an information day and demonstrated the exercises.
Practitioners held a candlelight vigil at the Chinese Embassy on the evening of July 20, 2020. They lit candles and held wreaths to silently commemorate the thousands of practitioners who have died as a result of the persecution. They formed three words with candles: “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

During the past 21 years, Falun Gong practitioners and their families have been subjected to abuse and torture. The Minghui website has verified that more than 4,500 practitioners have been tortured to death. Some deaths directly resulted from large-scale live organ harvesting. Despite the persecution, practitioners have remained steadfast in their spiritual belief and continued to raise awareness of this persecution.
Falun Gong representative Ms. Hao Li said, “For the past 21 years, in order to force practitioners to renounce their belief, the CCP has used every method. In the Investigation on the Cruel Torture CCP Used to Kill Falun Gong Practitioners, it says: “It has amounted to 206 different kinds of cruel torture that the CCP has adopted towards practitioners, including beatings, electric shock, forced-feeding, injecting with drugs that destroy the central nervous system, forced labor, and others. For the past 21 years, hundreds of millions of Falun Gong practitioners and their families have been slandered and monitored; several million practitioners were arrested by the CCP; illegally held in police custody, at forced labor camps, illegally sentenced as well as being held at brainwashing centers. They were cruelly tortured to death; the number of practitioners whose organs have been harvested are countless; millions of families were ruined.”
She added, “For the past 21 years, practitioners both in China and overseas have been at risk. Harboring no resentment or hatred, they've stepped forward to peacefully oppose the persecution. No matter how rampant the CCP's persecution, they have never wavered, but rather persevered. They've continued to expose the lies fabricated by the CCP towards Falun Gong, and to let the world know, 'Falun Dafa is wonderful! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is wonderful!'”

Former Journalist: CCP’s Persecution Towards Spiritual Group Is Stupid!
Mr. Hugh Henry was a journalist and has a clear understanding of the CCP. When he passed by the information booth, he said, “Wow, today marks the 21st anniversary of the CCP’s persecution towards Falun Gong. The CCP’s theory is atheism. Communism's founder Karl Marx was an atheist. Wherever the CCP is in reign, regardless of what religion it is, as long as it respects heaven, it is targeted for persecution.”
Mr. Henry has done some research on Chinese civilization. He said, “The culture of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism lasted for five thousand years in China. As to Chinese people, in essence, they have a very deep moral self-cultivation. They are very disciplined and innovative. Unfortunately, since 1949 after the CCP took power, it has destroyed all of these wonderful aspects and persecuted all kinds of religious groups. However, the more serious the persecution, the firmer people’s resistance will be. To carry out this persecution is stupid.”
“The Communist Regime Is Too Evil!”
A retired couple came and signed the petition. While Ms. Yudea Jow signed it, she said angrily, “The CCP has done many bad things, including the persecution of Falun Gong and the Uyghur Muslim group, implementation of the National Security Law, etc. Chinese people don’t have human rights, nor freedom. The CCP is dangerous and has endangered the entire world.”
Ms. Lumiel Fox works as a youth mental health advisor. She said, “The CCP government has no right to kill such a peaceful spiritual group. We need something beyond the political regime to bring it under control. As a human being, one has to have humanity. Spreading peace and rationality can effectively stop the persecution. Peace is an inner strength that cannot be banned by any authority.”
Simon Lovie is an Australian born Chinese. He read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and understands that the CCP is committing crimes against humanity. He said, “Falun Gong practitioners promote ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance’, these principles benefit people both mentally and physically. The communist regime is too evil. In order to stop the persecution, we have to overthrow the CCP.”
“If Every One of Us Says No to Evil, the Persecution Would End.”
Rachel, a young mother with two small children told practitioners, “I know Falun Gong is very good and peaceful. The Australian government should openly tell the CCP that it and Australians are paying attention to these human rights violations in China.”
Ms. Lucy Humphries was also drawn by the peaceful scene of practitioners doing the exercises. She said, “The communist ideology has gradually infiltrated our western society. This evil seems to have a desire to take over the whole planet. If any spiritual belief becomes popular, the CCP will persecute it. The Party wishes to control everything. People need to be courageous and go up against it. If everyone says ‘No’ to the evil, then the persecution would end.”
