Practitioners in Mexico and Peru Commemorate 21 Years of Peaceful Resistance to CCP Persecution
(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Mexico City and Lima, Peru held a series of activities to mark 21 years of peaceful resistance to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution including clarifying the truth to people on July 18, 2020 and a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Embassy in Mexico City on July 20. Practitioners in Lima held a protest in front of the Chinese Embassy on July 20.
Ms. Lorena Espinosa, a local resident, was fascinated by the graceful exercise movements and wanted to learn them. Another local resident Luis Barrio Peralta said that he knew the CCP committed many terrible crimes.
Practitioners held a candlelight vigil to mourn fellow practitioners in China who died from the persecution. Their vigil was live-streamed on social media.
Practitioners in Lima demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and mourned fellow practitioners in China. Many people were touched by the solemn atmosphere and stopped to learn about Falun Gong and the persecution.
