1. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Lin Jinping Arrested
Guanshanbei Residential Committee personnel knocked on the door of Mr. Lin Jinping’s home at around 9:00 p.m. on October 20, 2020. Mr. Lin did not open the door.
Eight or nine people from the Aotou Town Government and the Guandu Police Station broke into Mr. Lin’s home and ransacked the place at around 9:00 p.m. the following evening.
They demanded that he transcribe a drafted copy of three statements at the police station, which he refused. They threatened to send him to prison. He was released after 3:00 a.m. that night.
2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Mi Diju and Family Harassed
Since September 2020, officials from the Qingbaijiang District 610 Office, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the Chengxiang Town government, and the Huaishu Community, have repeatedly harassed Ms. Mi Diju at her home.
They ordered her to sign the three statements, otherwise they would deduct her pension and freeze her bank account. They also harassed her son several times and asked him to persuade his mother not to practice Falun Gong.
They threatened to come to her home every day, and if she did not open the door, they would call her son to open the door. They also threatened that they would go to her daughter-in-law’s workplace and granddaughter’s school to harass them.
The officials caused great trouble to her son’s family, and her son and daughter-in-law could not work normally.
3. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Officials from the Majing Town Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the local police station, and the Xinjian Village went Ms. Xiao Jiying’s home and harassed her four times between August and October 2020. They put pressure on her husband, daughter, and relatives.
They also harassed Ms. Xu Yuanzhen and Ms. Zhang Wenju.
4. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Suping Harassed
Ms. Wang Suping, 64, was harassed every day over the phone by the local police between July 8 and July 15, 2020. In October 2020, residential community personnel also harassed her several times.
Zhang Xin, director of the residential community, called Ms. Wang on November 4 and told her to sign paperwork, which she refused.
5. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Shangguan Xu Harassed
Over 10 people including officers from the Qilihe Domestic Security Division, Lu ( director of the Xizhan Police Station), Wei (an officer), Wang (Party secretary of the Xizhan Sub-district Administration Office), led by Qiang (Party secretary of the Qilihe District Political and Legal Affairs Committee), went to Ms. Shangguan Xu’s workplace on November 3, 2020.
They surrounded her and took turns to “transform” her in an office. In the afternoon, three young men forcibly twisted her arms and pressed her fingerprints on a few blank sheets of paper, and then they wrote on the blank sheets content that slandered Dafa and the founder of Falun Gong.
After that, they coerced her colleagues to recite three pre-drafted statements against Dafa and the founder of Falun Gong, and forced Xu to nod her head in approval, and used the cell phone to record the process. These people did not leave until after 7:00 p.m.
They came again the following day, and said that nodding her head was not sufficient. They demanded her to recite those three statements by herself, and used cell phones to record.
They threatened that if she did not comply, she would be immediately suspended from duties for repentance. If she did not repent, she would be taken to a brainwashing center, and then expelled from her job.
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Ying Arrested Again
Ms. Li Ying from the Development Zone was arrested six months ago for distributing Falun Gong materials. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a printer. She was released on bail.
Officers from the Huanghe Road Police Station went to her home on November 2, 2020. They arrested her and her husband, and claimed that they would officially place the couple under arrest.
7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Officers from the Daqing City Police Department, Wang Wensheng, chief of the Honggang District Police Department, Lu Yutao, an officer, Li Yulong, director of the Xingshugang Town Police Station, and head of the town went to Ms. Yang Jingshuang’s home at around 8:00 p.m. on October 30, 2020.
They arrested Ms. Yang, Ms. Meng Lingjuan, Ms. Liu Junying, Mr. Wang Guijun, and three other practitioners while the practitioners were studying Falun Gong teachings together.
They ransacked Ms. Yang’s home and confiscated over 100 Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and 300 yuan in cash.
They ransacked Ms. Liu’s home at around 12:00 a.m. and confiscated all her Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a computer, a printer, an unopened box of paper, a cell phone, her national ID card, and 20,800 yuan in cash from her safe.
They took every practitioners’ DNA samples and fingerprints. In the end, each practitioner was forced to pay 2,000 yuan in cash, and released on bail.
8. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Zhaoqin and Ms. Huang Wanping Arrested
Ms. Yang Zhaoqin in Songzi City was held in a brainwashing center between October 14 and October 23, 2020.
Ms. Huang Wanping was arrested by officers from the Shuilu Police Station, Xinjiangkou Town, in mid-October, and was released on the same day.
Ms. Hu Jiqin was harassed at home by officers from the Shuilu Police Station and residential community personnel in September 2020.
9. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Zhong Xiangwei Harassed
Five staff members from the Zhangjiadu Village, Chengxigang District, Chaisang District, went to Ms. Zhong Xiangwei’s home on October 30, 2020, and wanted her to be “transformed.”
They threatened that if she did not “transform,” pensions of retirees at her home would be suspended, those who have jobs would be suspended from work, and anyone who drives a taxi, the car would be impounded by the traffic police.
Despite the threats, Ms. Zhong firmly refused to sign the “transformation” statement.
On November 2, people from the residential community came again to ask Ms. Zhong to sign the statement. She firmly refused.
10. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Wenjun Harassed Frequently
The Linjiang Police Station and the community committee have frequently harassed practitioners since November 3, 2020. These people set up a brainwashing center.
When they could not find Ms. Wang Wenjun, they kept calling and harassing her family and relatives instead. One person in her family suffered a heart attack as a result.
11. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Held in Detention Center
Practitioner Ms. Zhou Zhongchao , Ms. Gao Wenqin, and Ms. Yang Baoli in Yishui County were reported to the police while posting Falun Gong informational materials in Daotuo Town on the morning of November 1, 2020. They were arrested by officers from the Daotuo Police Station.
The three practitioners were taken to the Chaishan Hospital for physical examination the following day. Their families went to the police station and demanded their release, and all got arrested when leaving the police station with the practitioners. Two family members were later released. Ms. Gao’s husband, another family member, and the three practitioners remain in custody at the Yishui Detention Center.
12. [Zhangbei County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
The Youlougou Town Central Primary School and the Zhangbei Town Xinhe Primary School officials tried to “transform” Mr. Hou Shulin, Ms. Zhang Yuying and Ms. Shen Yanhui under the instruction and coercion of the Zhangjiakou City Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the Zhangbei County Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and the Zhangbei County Education and Science Bureau.
These officials ordered the three practitioners, who are teachers, to sign printed copies of the three statements renouncing Falun Gong.
13. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Hongshu Harassed
Yang Peng from the Nanyanghu Police Station called Mr. Wang Hongshu’s daughter on the afternoon of November 3, 2020, asking where her father was and what he was doing. Yang also called Mr. Wang and harassed him.
14. [Bei’an City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhu Xiaoling Detained
Ms. Zhu Xiaoling went to the Heping Police Station to take care of some matters on the morning of October 12, 2020. She was arrested by officers from the Qinghua Police Station and the Bei’an City Police Department. She was placed under administrative detention for 10 days at the Wudalianchi Detention Center. She returned home on the morning of October 22.
15. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Pei Shumei and Husband Mr. Zhang Wenfu Detained
Ms. Pei Shumei and her husband Mr. Zhang Wenfu were arrested at home by officers including Sun Runxian from the Erdao District Domestic Security Division on October 28, 2020. The couple were held in the Changchun City Detention Center for five days of detention. They returned home on November 3.
16. [Shanghai] Ms. Shao Hongzhen Stalked
The 610 Office sent out people to be staked outside Ms. Shao Hongzhen’s home and monitored her since November 2, 2020.
17. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Youying and Husband Mr. Li Wenzhong Taken to Detention Center
Officers from the Shimenzhai Town Police Station, Haigang District, went to Ms. Zhang Youying’s home on the afternoon of October 29, 2020. They tried to forced her to give up her belief. They took Ms. Zhang and her non-practitioner husband Mr. Li Wenzhong to the Qinhuangdao City Public Security Hospital for a physical examination. The couple were then taken to the Qinhuangdao City Detention Center.
18. [Liangshan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Yirong and Ms. Lu Xiufang Charged
Ms. Zhang Yirong, 68, and Ms. Lu Xiufang, about 40, in Xiaolukou Township were reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong on August 26, 2020. Ms. Zhang has been held in the Yutai County Detention Center. Ms. Lu has been held in the Yanzhou District Detention Center. Charges against them have been brought to the Procuratorate or the court.
19. [Chongqing] Mr. Liu Hanchi Harassed and Threatened
Mr. Liu Hanchi, in his 70s, in Fuling District, had been harassed several times at home by personnel from the Chongqing Domestic Security Division, the Fuling Police Department, the Chongyi Police Station, and the Hongguang Residential Committee since July 2020.
The officials demanded that he sign the “five statements” renouncing Falun Gong.
They came to Ms. Liu’s home again at the end of October 2020. They tried to force him to cooperate, by threatening with his son’s job and his grandson’s education. Mr. Liu refused. They then had Mr. Liu’s son sign the statements on his behalf.
20. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Xiaoqin’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate
Ms. Zhang Xiaoqin was arrested on June 30, 2020. She was officially arrested on July 24. Her case was turned over to the Nanchuan District Procuratorate in recent days by the Fuling District Procuratorate.
21. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Officially Arrested
Three elderly practitioners Ms. Zhang Baoling, Ms. Jiang Shubo, and Ms. Ci Meiyun in Fuzhoucheng Town, Wafangdian City, were reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong in Santai Township on September 20, 2020.
They were arrested and their homes ransacked by officers from the Santai Township Police Station. They were transferred to the Yaojia Detention Center after being held in the Wafangdian Detention Center for 15 days. They have been officially placed under arrest.
22. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Li Cuiping Remains in Custody
Ms. Li Cuiping in Feidong County is still being held in the Changqing Police Station, Baohe District. Her son Mr. Ma Shan has returned home.
23. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Gou Xiaopin Harassed Several Times
Chengnan Community personnel called Ms. Gou Xiaopin several times to harass her. They ordered her to write the three statements, which she refused.
They threatened that she would be monitored if she did not write, she might not be able to travel by plane or might not even be able to take the high-speed train, and her children’s work and grandson’s future would also be adversely impacted.
24. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Kong Fanzhen Arrested
Ms. Kong Fanzhen, 70, in Feixi County, was arrested by officers from the Baohe District Domestic Security Division in recent days.
25. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Fenghua’s Case Brought to Court
The Renqiu City Court assigned a lawyer to Ms. Wang Fenghua on November 3, 2020. The court notified Ms. Wang and her family to meet with the lawyer. The lawyer agreed to plead not guilty for her. The director of the No. 2 Criminal Tribunal did not allow the lawyer to plead not guilty.
26. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
Officials from the Jiefuqiao Police Station and the community residential committee stopped and interrogated Ms. Chen Jiaxiu at the gate of the dormitory of the Mingxing Electric Power Company on October 27, 2020.
Ms. Chen was previously sentenced to three years in prison in December 2009 for practicing Falun Gong. Her pension was suspended in August 2020, which caused her much hardship.
Officials from the Chengxi Police Station and the community residential committee went to homes of Ms. Xiao Wenzhen, Ms. Xu Zhengbi, and Ms. Yang Suhua to harass them between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on October 22, 2020.
27. [Yunfu City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Dongmei Harassed
Officials from the public security, procuratorate, court, justice organs, and the neighborhood committee broke into Ms. Huang Dongmei’s home on the evening of November 2, 2020. They demanded that she sign the three statements. They also took her daughter, who was ill, to the police station. Her daughter was allowed to go home a few hours later.
28. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhou Zhihua Arrested
Ms. Zhou Zhihua from Kaizhou District was threatened and reported to the police by someone who did not want to listen to persecution facts while she was talking to people about Falun Gong on October 26, 2020. She was arrested by officers from the Zhonghe Town Police Station, Kaizhou District.
After arriving at the police station, she clarified the truth about Falun Gong to officers with honor and openness. Two officers brought her home shortly after 3:00 p.m. that afternoon.
29. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Qiaozhen Arrested
Ms. Liu Qiaozhen from Jiacun Town, Wangdu County, was arrested and taken to the Wangdu County Detention Center on October 25, 2020. She was put under administrative detention for 11 days. She was beaten in the detention center. She returned home on November 5.
30. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Xuegang Detained
Mr. Liu Xuegang was arrested by officers from the Xiangyang Police Station at the Dongshan farmers market in Jiguan District on the afternoon of November 11, 2020. He was detained for 10 days.
