(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Gao, 47, was reported to the authorities in early 2007, when she was talking to people about Falun Dafa. Officers Hao Yongpo, Shi Wanxin, Gao Yunjun, Bai Yugang, and over 20 officers from the Boli County Police Department broke into her home. Ms. Gao lost consciousness during the intrusion and was carried away by the officers. They also confiscated her computer, 3,300 yuan in cash, and other personal belongings. When they took her to the hospital, she managed to escape. However, she had to stay away from her home to avoid being arrested again.
After managing to avoid the police for three years, Ms. Gao was arrested by Gao Yunjun, Bai Yugang, and Shi Wanxin on July 21, 2010, as she was on her way to visit her parents. When her family realized that she had been arrested, they went to the Boli Police Department on July 27, 2010 to look for Gao Yunjun, head of the county police department, but were unable to see him. When they went there the following day, officers Dong Ye and Shi Wanxin told them that Ms. Gao was being held at the Qitaihe City Detention Center and was no longer under the jurisdiction of Boli County.
Ms. Gao's family members went to the Qitaihe Police Department on August 5, 2010 to ask about Ms. Gao. Zhu Kongqin, head of the city police department, told them that the case still belonged to Boli, and that the city police department was holding her because Boli Detention Center had no facilities for women. When the family told Zhu about Ms. Gao's heart problem, Zhu said that they would release her if they could get approval from Li Shenglu in the county police department.
On August 9-11, 2010, the family tried to look for Li at the Boli Police Department, but to no avail. In a letter from Pang Wei at the visitor's office, the family was told that Zhu Kongqin had sent two officers from the city to take care of their case, and that they should wait at home for the results. The family had heard nothing after waiting for three days, so they went to see Zhu Kongqin at the city police department again. This time Zhu shouted at them, “Gao's case is a Boli case. We are not in charge. Why do you come to us for help? She was sent to a forced labor camp for two years on the third day of her arrest by the county police. Do you not know that? Go back to Boli and ask them to release Gao.”
Ms. Gao was detained at the Qitaihe Detention Center for over forty days before being transferred to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center. She became very weak and was given an intravenous injection on the way to the rehabilitation center. Officials from the center first refused to accept Ms. Gao due to her poor condition, and notified her husband to collect her. However, they later reversed their decision. Ms. Gao told her family that she was bedridden for the first week at the rehabilitation center.
Ms. Gao's family has repeatedly appealed to the drug rehabilitation center administration and the Boli County 610 Office to release her on medical grounds, but to no avail.
