(Clearwisdom.net) Recently the evil forces have been especially rampant in Changchun, becoming a focal point of the practitioners' attention. I'd like to share some thoughts on this issue. I hope that my fellow practitioners will point out any shortcomings in my understanding.
The current manifestation of the evil forces seems quite similar to the "thought karma" many practitioners have encountered in the past. At that time, some practitioners felt that a certain "thought karma" was eliminated in the process of cultivation, but it would reappear after a period of time, even worse than before. Teacher has addressed this issue many times in different lectures. Teacher said, "In other words, a bad thought is likely to be composed of the very shallow stuff on the outermost surface; it also might be composed of matter that's a little more microcosmic. So some bad thoughts might be present from the microcosm up to the surface. Therefore, even though this side of you has met the standard and a layer is cleansed and separated, there's still some in the next layer. Elimination of the things you need to let go of in your cultivation has to be repeated. Some people say: "I feel that I've cultivated pretty well and have been doing well for some time. But why are bad thoughts coming up again now?" It's that the part you've cultivated pretty well has been separated, while the part that's not yet cultivated has to continue cultivating, but it's becoming weaker and weaker. I know - sometimes the thoughts that spring up are just awful. You don't have to worry. The more microcosmic matter is, the greater its energy. In other words, the more power it has, the greater its bad influence; it can control people. Also, on the outermost surface, the closer matter gets to the surface, the lesser its energy. The lesser the energy, the lesser its ability; but the lesser it is and the closer it gets to the surface, the worse it becomes." ("Teaching the Fa at the Western US Fa Conference")
I think the "bad thoughts" are, in nature, the same as the evil forces that are trying to damage Dafa. Both are to be eliminated during the Fa-rectification. Therefore, the process of our eliminating the evil forces is similar to the process of our eliminating the bad thoughts within ourselves. The more it comes to the surface, the more unrestrained the evil becomes, yet its energy becomes less powerful. In reality, it is approaching its end. In front of the great enlightened beings cultivated from the righteous Fa, it is nothing. When the evil forces discovered that practitioners were broadcasting the truth-clarifying programs, they were burning with anxiety, but they could do nothing to interrupt the signal. It is evident even in this dimension of the human world that the remaining energy of the evil forces is too weak to stop practitioners from clarifying the truth. This was further illustrated by the incident of Guangzhou Daily carrying Teacher's poems.
Teacher says in "The Effect of Righteous Thoughts," "These countless foreign systems formed tens of millions of dimensional segments in the Three Realms, which became different domains of power, thereby hiding many evil beings. Some beings and objects have even been segmented into many layers, almost with particles of each layer segmented into a separate layer. The Three Realms had countless dimensions to begin with. Now tens of millions of countless dimensions like this have been added. This has made the Fa-rectification more difficult and the situation more complicated. Sometimes the evil beings were clearly eliminated when Dafa disciples sent forth righteous thoughts, but then they were found to still exist in some of the segments and were continuing to do bad things. So, this is why some evil beings can be eliminated in one shot when Dafa disciples send forth righteous thoughts, while others can't be eliminated easily in one shot and it even takes many times to eliminate them. This is the case for those chief evil ones in Mainland China." Now I understand why Teacher says the following words in Explaining the Content of Falun Dafa, "Throughout the entire course of your cultivation there will be the question of how you fundamentally understand the Fa and whether you can be steadfast-you'll be tested on whether you are steadfast in the Fa all the way until the last step of your cultivation."
During the process of the evil being eliminated layer after layer in different dimensions and getting ever closer to the surface dimension of this human world, the evil's actual energy becomes less and less, while its superficial appearance is inevitably more and more rampant. This phenomenon will continue until the moment when the Fa rectifies the human world. Therefore the test for Dafa disciples will also last until the end of cultivation. We shall not be deceived or confused by the current rampant appearance of the evil, for it is merely a reflection of the evil's final, desperate acts.
