[Hebei Province] Brief news from the conference at a county in Hebei Province

On Nov.12, 2000, several dozen Dafa practitioners from more than ten towns of a county in Hebei province assembled and held the largest Dafa conference since July of last year.

In the center of the conference hall was the portrait of our Great Teacher. When the practitioners paid respects to the Teacher, tears welled up in their eyes, and myriads of thoughts came up in their minds. Teacher has given too much!

The participants studied together Teacher's articles, mainly studied the Teacher's recent speech at the Western US cultivation experience sharing conference. They compared their own deeds to the requirement of Dafa, shared experiences and found where they had lagged behind. They are determined to use the parts that have been successfully cultivated to help the Fa-rectification and to safeguard the Fa.

Some participants said, we should quickly transcend the confinement of self-cultivation and actively use our benevolence to purge the wicked, awaken the people and rekindle their conscience and upright heart, expose the lies of Jiang Zemin's sort and let the people with predestined relationships have a good future. In particular, we must cherish the precious time the Teacher has extended for all sentient beings, and strengthen the force in spreading the Fa and safeguarding the Fa. We should remove one's various human notions and attachments and thoroughly promote one's function as a particle of Dafa.

[Tuanhe, Beijing] Pprison forcibly injects psychotic drugs on practitioners

Five to six Dafa practitioners in some districts of Beijing were sent to Tuanhe to attend compulsory "Transformation Class". They have been forcibly injected with psychotic drugs. The drugs were even put into the drinking water. One of the practitioners had been given clues by the Teacher and refused the injection and the drinking water. He used cold water to pour on his body when he could not bear it any further. Three days later he passed through, and was released. The remaining practitioners were all converted. They felt very regretful after being released. Later, their working units wanted to send them to the "Transformation Class" in Tuanhe prison again and they firmly refused to go.

[China] Falun gong becomes key question in entrance exams

I have attended some classes for the graduate school political entrance exam of 2001. The teacher thinks Falun gong is one of the most important topics in the coming exams, and even as a major discussion question with big scores. There also appear in the textbook many questions related to Falun gong. Students from other assistance classes on political exam said their situation was the same. Many books on the graduate entrance exams, including the relatively more authoritative reference books, have included Falun gong topics.

My investigation shows that all sorts of assistance books for the college entrance exams, high school entrance exams, and even exams for middle schools and elementary schools have the same types of questions. These youths and teenagers are going to face their tests to reposition themselves. Fellow practitioners, let's continue pushing our effort to save these young lives, to save the children!

[Xingtai, Hebei Province] The police of intensify the persecution of Dafa practitioners

Because the number of practitioners from Xingtai going to Beijing during the National holiday (Oct. 1) was among the highest in the province, the police of Xingtai intensified the persecution of Dafa practitioners. During the interrogation, they first beat and electric-shocked practitioners before asking questions. Especially after they received hints from upper administrations that "beaten to death counts as suicide", they acted without any restraints.

[China] Dafa banners appeared in a city of northern China

In the middle of October the city police took over ten computers and over ten copy machines from practitioners' homes and copy centers. However, practitioners' determination on cultivation has not been suppressed. On Oct. 19, practitioners unfurled three large, shining banners in some residential areas, "Falun Dafa", "Falun Dafa is Good", "Those who attack the benevolent must be evil". Several days later, large banners appeared again in another area of the city.

After the sentence of Dafa practitioner Li Jianhui to four years by the court of Futian District, the same court has sentenced another three Dafa practitioners, they are:

Wang Renjing, female, around 30 years old, sentenced to 3 and half years;

Dai Ying, wife of Li Jianhui, sentenced to 3 years.

The above list is just a small part of practitioners being persecuted. Since July 1999, due to firmly practicing Falun Gong, innumerable practitioners were illegally detained and persecuted. Their property taken. Some policemen behaved like robbers, which disgusted the bystanders.

[Lanzhou, Gansu Province] Information of some practitioners being persecuted

Yang Rui, female, 35, assistant engineer in the state-run Changfeng Machinery Factory of Lanzhou. In October 1999, she went to appeal in Beijing and was detained by Shajinyi police station of Lanzhou for 15 days. In May 2000, she was detained again for 15 days for practicing Falun Gong. In July 2000, she was detained since she posted some material on Falun Dafa true story. She was sentenced to one and half years in labor camp. Now she is detained in Pingantai Detention Center in Lanzhou. Recently, she was dismissed by her factory.

Zhang Luchan, male, 27, Bachelor's degree, is a cadre in Electric Machine Company of Lanzhou. He was detained 15 days for persist in practicing Falun Gong in November 1999. He was detained again in May 2000. In July 2000, after he was detained for posting material to clarify Falun Gong, he was sentenced to one and half years in a labor camp on September 5. Now he is detained in Pingantai Labor Camp of Lanzhou.

Wu Guiling, female, 54, is a teacher in Electric Machinery School of Lanzhou. She went to appeal in Beijing in January 2000 and was detained for 15 days. In July 2000, after she was detained for posting material telling the facts about Falun Gong, she was sentenced to one year in labor camp on September 5. Now she is detained in Pingaitai Labor Camp of Lanzhou.

Cao Shengmin, male, 58 years old, is a retired cadre in Changfeng Factory of Lanzhou. In May 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal and was detained for 15 days by Anning Police Branch of Lanzhou Police Bureau. He was detained again as he clarified the truth to the security unit of his factory. Now he is detained in Xiguoyuan Detention Center in Lanzhou.

Li Jianhong, female, 39, is an employee of Changfeng Machinery Factory in Lanzhou. She went to appeal in Beijing before Spring Festival. She was arrested in Lanzhou Railway Station and detained for 10 days by Liujiabao Police Office of Lanzhou. She was detained again on November 2, 2000, because she clarified the truth to the security unit of her factory. She is now detained in Xiguoyuan Detention Center in Lanzhou.

Wu Yuying, female, 55, a retired employee of Changfeng Machinery Factory in Lanzhou. She went to appeal in Beijing and was detained for 15 days by Anning Police Branch of Lanzhou Police Bureau. During National Holiday, she was forcibly pushed into a police car in Tiananmen Square. She is detained in Xiguoyuan Detention Center in Lanzhou.

Cao Qiulan, female, 48, an employee in Feikong Instrument Factory. Appealed in Beijing and was detained for 15 days in Liujiabao police station. She was asked to go for a talk in the security unit of Changfeng Machinery Factory on November 2 and did not come back. Currently detained in Anning Police Branch.

Wu Lingfang, female, 62, appealed in Beijing during Spring Festival. Detained in Anning Xilou police station for 15 days. She was asked to go for a talk in the security unit of Changfeng Machinery Factory on November 2 and did not come back. Currently detained in Anning Police Branch.

Li Miaojuan, female, 43, an employee of Changxin Ammeter Factory of Lanzhou. She suffered from severe heart disease. Twenty years ago, she received the cardiac valve replacement operation. Doctor said her life expectancy was less than 15 years, and she should receive long term and continuous medical treatment. She worked very hard in her factory as a good employee. At home she took care of her husband's two children from his previous marriage. She was considered a good wife and mother. She stopped taking medicine after practicing Falun Gong for 2 months in 1997, which saved a great amount of medication fees for the factory. She went to appeal in Beijing last October and was detained in Beijing for 15 days, and another 15 days in Lanzhou. After that, she was detained several times and her home was ransacked before Spring Festival. Police took 1,500 Yuan away without any receipt. During National Holiday, she went to Beijing, and has been illegally detained in Xiguoyuan Detention Center since then.

[Nanchang, Jiangxi Province] List of practitioners from Nanchang airplane manufacturing Company who were arrested after stepping forward to validate Dafa.

Xiao Genxiang, retired, was sentenced to two years in labor camp for going Beijing to appeal twice in October and November 1999.

Wu Xuezhen went to Beijing to appeal twice in November 1999 and May 2000, she was sentenced to one and half years in labor camp.

Shu Juan went to Beijing to appeal twice in November and December 1999, she was sentenced to two years in labor camp.

Liu Zhaoqin went to Beijing to appeal twice in September and November 1999, she was sentenced to one and half years in labor camp.

Li Guoying went to Beijing to appeal twice in November 1999 and May 2000, she was illegally detained for 31 days.

Ni Fangmin went to appeal in Beijing in November 1999, and also because of copying Dafa materials, she was illegally detained for total 31 days in July 2000.

[Wuhan, Hubei Province] The supplementary information of practitioners arrested in Wuhan

Fang Jinzhou, male, contract worker of Jingxia District cable TV station, was detained when he went to Beijing in December 1999. He went to Beijing to appeal again in March 2000 and has been sentenced to labor camp since then.

Feng Yanfang, female, 44 years old, was sentenced to 1 year in labor camp.

Gong Lianghan, female, participated in the experience sharing conference held in Wuhan on the third day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, was detained in Wujiashan First Detention Center. She has been in court but has not been sentenced.

Hu Shenglian, female, former teacher of Wuhan Second Middle School. She was expelled from the work unit for being sentenced to two years in labor camp. Now she is imprisoned in Wuhan First Detention Center.

Hu Yuehua, female, 32 years old, was arrested on October 28, 2000. Now she is detained in Wujiashan First Detention Center.

Jin Guiqiu, female, 35 years old, was sentenced to one year in labor camp for doing the exercises outside and going to Beijing to appeal once.

Li Qing, female, was sentenced to labor camp for appealing in Beijing in December 1999.

Li Xiantao, female, 42 years old, was sentenced to one year in labor camp.

Li Yueqiu, female, 38 years old, a worker from Electronic Power Plant, was arrested on her way to Beijing on October 1, 2000. Now she is detained in Wujiashan first detention center.

Liu Tao, male, 35 years old, was sentenced to one year in labor camp for appealing in Beijing three times.

Liu Lihua, female, about 42 years old, was arrested for going to Beijing to appeal in February 2000 and was sentenced to one year in labor camp.

Luo Xinying, female, employee of Jiangxia Food and Trade company. She went to Beijing to appeal in November 2000 and has been detained since then.

Peng Mi, female, was arrested in Wuhan for attending Guangzhou Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference. From November 22, 1999 to last February, she had been detained in the sanatorium of Wuhan Police Department under close monitoring and was arrested afterwards. She was sentenced to 10-month imprisonment for selling Falun Dafa materials when employed in Shenshen Company.

Qi Ling, female, 37 years old, was arrested when exchanging experience in the home of a practitioner, she was detained in the Mofan Woman Jail. She has yet to be sentenced.

Qian Youyun, female, a worker of Jiangxia Food and Rice Co., was sent to labor camp in December 1999 for appealing in Beijing.

Si Sulan, female, about 46 years old, was sentenced to one year in labor camp.

Wang Xia, female, an employee of Jiangxia Cable TV Company, was arrested when she went to Beijing to appeal in November 1999 and was sentenced to labor camp for being suspected as an organizer.

Xiong Guiju, female, participated in the Falun Dafa experience exchange conference in Wuhan on the third day of Chinese Lunar New Year. She was detained in Wujiashan First Detention Center. She has been taken to the court, and has yet to be sentenced.

Xu Aiying, female, 38 years old, was sentenced to one year in labor camp for appealing in Beijing and doing exercises outside.

Yang Rong, female, about 30 years old, was taken away from home on May 18, 2000. She is being detained in the Wujiashan First Detention Center and has not been sentenced.

Yang Lihua, female, was sentenced to one year in labor camp for presiding over the Wuhan experience exchange conference during Chinese New Year (2000). She was sentenced to one year in labor camp.

Yuan Danniang, female, 45 years old, went to Beijing to appeal on October 22, 2000. She was arrested on October 25, 2000 in Beijing. Wuhan Public Security is going to take her back from Beijing.

Zhang Jiehong, female, 52 years old, went to Beijing to validate the Fa twelve times. She was sentenced to 2 years labor camp.

Zhang Zhongfan was sentenced to one and a half years in labor camp.

Zhao Huanan, female, an accountant of the Bureau of Electronic Power in Jiangxia district, was arrested for handing out materials about the truth of Falun Dafa (posting the truth materials). Now she is in criminal detention.

Zhou Lan, female, participated in Wuhan experience exchange conference during Chinese New Year (2000). She is detained in the Wujiashan First Detention Center. She has been taken to the court, and has not been sentenced yet.

Zhou Xia, female, was sentenced to one year in labor camp.

Zhou Youyu, female, has been detained since she was arrested in January 1999 for appealing in Beijing.

YaoYaoyuan, male, 30 years old, is an official in the Army. He was arrested on the train on his way to Beijing. He was discharged from the Army and sent back to the countryside after attending the "Transformation and Education Class " for two months.

[China] Distinguishing the truth from the false, and the righteous from the evil in complex situations.

Recently, some policemen and spies have been fabricating and spreading lies like "practitioner so-and-so in the detention center has been transformed " and "majority of practitioners have been transformed" etc. They even gave false information about the determined practitioners persisting in the cultivation practice, saying that they were also transformed and told other practitioners not to have contact with them. Some practitioners who did not know the truth also helped to spread the rumors. We consider this is another vicious approach the evil beings are using to damage the validation of the Fa, to make confusion, to shake the belief of the practitioners. We hope that practitioners could distinguish the truth from the false, the righteous from the evil in the complex situations, not be cheated by the pernicious rumors, and should not unintentionally help to spread the vicious rumors. We should get rid of the disturbance and refine ourselves --particles of Dafa, to be purer and unbreakable.
