[Pengzhou, Sichuan Province] Husband and wife are sentenced to a Labor Camp, and their four and half year old son dies from falling into a flat freezer accidentally
You Quanfu and his wife Yang Qihui, employee of Hengda Pharmaceutical Factory of Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province were sentenced to Ziyang and Zizhong (for female practitioners) Forced Labor Camps, respectively, in February, 2000. Their only four and half years old son was left at home alone. The kid fell into a flat freezer accidentally in May and was frozen to death. Even after the tragedy, You Quanfu was not allowed to go home to take care of his son's death-related matters or take a look at his son's remains.
It was only 5 days after You Quanfu's release on October 13 that the leaders of Hengda Pharmaceutical Factory put You Quanfu in custody, illegally, in Pengzhou City Mental Hospital under the direction of the local government without notifying family members at all. His family members protested by arguing that You Quanfu is not mentally ill , yet he has not been released at this point.
Because of You's practicing Falun Dafa, the government persecuted You Quanfu's entire family and relatives. His two elder sisters You Quanfen and You Quanfang were sentenced to prison. His family is broken and his four and a half year old son is dead. The government also detains You Quanfu in a mental hospital under the fabricated excuse of mental illness to have him suffer further. All kind-hearted people please pay attention to this matter.
[Beijing] Beijing police in gangs beat female Dafa practitioners from Nanchang
A female practitioner from Nanchang, Jiangxi Province went to Tiananmen Square to appeal peacefully on October 6, 2000. Police beat her on the head with police baton and dragged her into police vehicles by force. Later, she was transferred from Qianmen Police Station to Xuanwe District Police Station. Because of her refusal to give her name and address, four or five policemen took her into an office, shut the door, and took turns beating her brutally. The policemen sweat as a result of beating her so hard. She was injured all over her body.
On October 9, 2000, practitioners Liang Meihua and Wan Qing were arrested by Nanchang police when they went to Jianxi Agriculture University for experience exchange with other Dafa practitioners. They are detained at branch police stations affiliated to Xihu Branch Public Security Bureau and Qingyunpu Branch Public Security Bureau, respectively.
Dafa practitioners Wang Kangzheng from Nanchang and Zhou Fang from Xinjian County, Nanchang were arrested in Beijing when displaying the banner "Falun Dafa is Good". Not long after releasing, they were arrested again on their way home. Their homes were ransacked at the same time.
Dafa practitioners from the residential area of Jiangxi Tractor Factory (including Sima Temple) are forced to attend "Transformation" study session organized by the Security Office of the factory and local police station. It was said that the session concluded on November 4, and every practitioner was forced to pledge to break with Dafa.

Beijing practitioners broadcast "The historical responsibility which Jiang Zemin cannot shrug off" through homemade loud speakers and shocked the evil. From reliable sources, the Public Security Ministry has categorized this as a big case, and some practitioners have been arrested. As they could not get much information from practitioners arrested, police activated the network connection of cellular phones and pagers of these practitioners in an attempt to inquire and trace incoming and outgoing telephone numbers. Practitioners concerned: please pay attention to safety.
[Overseas] Phone call from China: A flyer telling the truth of Falun Gong has come to my home
Yesterday, my relative (not a Falun Gong practitioner) called from China intentionally and told me gladly: "You know what? Flyers exposing Jiang Zemin's evil and clarifying the truth of Falun Gong have been posted to my residential building! Every apartment in the building has received a copy. It seems to me that the innocence of Falun Gong will be restored! Actually, we understand from our hearts that Falun Gong practitioners are all good people! What is broadcast about Falun Gong on TV and radio, are all false. Hey! Police rushed in, and failed to arrest anyone. Falun Gong practitioners are really intelligent and courageous!"
Upon hearing this, I was very glad. I know that our fellow practitioners have all safely returned home. Dafa practitioners in China take the risk of being arrested, beaten, or sentenced, or even losing their lives to tell people the truth of Falun Gong. We practitioners overseas need to speed up our pace in promoting Dafa and clarifying the truth!

[Northeast China] In x city Northeast China Practitioners dropped out from Dafa resume practicing
Some practitioners who had written a "pledge" to break with Dafa studied Master Li's new scriptures and had much regret. They made banners and went to Tiananmen Square in small groups to clarify the truth of Dafa.
After the meeting of studying Dafa and exchanging experiences, small groups consisting of three to five practitioners resume collective study of Dafa in some practice sites. At many sites, all practitioners from the site went to Beijing to eliminate evils actively and to play a role of a Dafa particle validating the Dafa.
Recently, communications resumed between practice sites and networks are formed. Lots of practitioners have left for or plan to go to Beijing to validate Dafa.
[China] Three cases of Dafa practitioners' telling the truth with wisdom
Case 1: Dafa practitioners from x city placed over 50 pieces of Dafa materials telling the truth besides the elevator of central subway station successfully.
Case 2: A Dafa practitioner from x city distributed Dafa materials on a bus and the driver did not allow him to do that. The practitioner walked from the end of the bus to the front and told the driver: "Don't be afraid." The driver picked up his cellular phone and threatened: "Who is afraid, you or me? If I call 110 (Police hotline), you will be arrested soon." The practitioner smiled and gave a piece of Dafa material to a person beside him. The driver said in admiration: "You are so brave!"
Case 3: A practitioner distributed his last piece of Dafa materials to a conductor on a bus. The conductor tried to wrap it up for later reading and an old uncle asked for it to read. Upon reading it, the old uncle spoke out surprisingly: "Ah, Jiang Zemin catches an unusual and untreatable disease." All passengers were surprised to learn the news. The conductor reminded the old uncle : "Please return the materials to me when you arrive at your station."
[Beijing] Dafa practitioners from central government offices are receiving forced "Transformation" in Tuanhe Farm
Since the beginning of November of 2000, Dafa practitioners working in government ministries and commissions are forced to receive so-called "Transformation and Study" based on the requests from "upper level authorities". These good officers and staff are gathered and sent to Tuanhe Farm, which is like a hell in the human world. They are "accompanied" one by one and forced to attend classes offered by so-called "Transformed practitioners", who are actually the evil guards of the detention center and criminal offenders selling their own souls. The Dafa practitioners are forced to believe the vicious fabrications and lies carefully prepared. These practitioners actually lose their freedom and suffer both physically and mentally. In the 21st century, in the administrative offices of the government ministries and commissions occurred worse actions than those that happened in the "Cultural Revolution". Upon learning the happenings, can government officers allow the evil actions carried out by the few evil persons headed by Jiang Zemin, which are harmful to the country and the people? Currently, some officers refused to participate in the forced "Transformation class" and are fleeing.

Police arrested Dafa practitioner Wang Yan (female, 20 years old or so) from her residence on the night of November 3, 2000. No one knows her whereabouts.
Wang Yan is an open-minded girl and kind to people. Her neighbors all like her and do not understand why police arrest such a good person. On the day of arrest, police took lots of Dafa materials and electronic appliances from Wang Yan's residence. Wang Yan does "help the Teacher in the humane world" with her determination and true cultivation, and create chances with benevolence for everyday people to obtain Dafa. Please help to call for release of Wang Yan.
[Sichuan Province] The sufferings of Dafa practitioners from Sichun Province
Dafa practitioner Zhu Shenmei (false name) was beaten to spit blood and then left in an open field with snow for a whole night because she is faithful to Dafa. She was tied to a bed, used for criminals to be executed, with only summer clothes on in cold December, and ice water contained in a teapot flowed onto her head slowly for two hours. On July 25, 2000, Dong Lingzhi (false name, female, 48 years old) was brutally beaten for over one hour by four men and three women in Longfeng town administrative office. Steel whip was lashed onto her body through clothes and pulled out after tearing the clothes. The villains shouted wickedly: "Take her out to bury her alive!"
On the same day, four tall guys cruelly beat practitioner Jiang Haimei (false name) on her waist with police batons even though she had two kidneys replaced before. She was beaten to losing control of discharges, and brutally beaten again after awakening from shock. After being beaten, she was cuffed to a tree with both hands behind and exposed to scorching sunshine for over 4 hours. The villains saw her dying and said when opening her cuffs: "Beat her to death. There is no legal responsibility even if we beat her death."
The police in Mengyang town are also vicious. They beat Dafa practitioners with bamboo, bundles of which were broken from the beating, and with leather belts, which were torn to pieces. Falun Gong practitioners were beaten with "poisonous hemp" (with toxic thrones) after being brutally beaten with other tools. They were then taken out to street to stand on high tables and a banner "Falun Gong practitioner" was hung on their necks to show to people.
It was near Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) when the grain of practitioner Chen Changlin (false name) was taken away completely by police along with all materials worth anything. The doors of his house have also been taken away. What is the difference from being robbed?
A female high-school teacher Lu Tao (false name) was brutally beaten many times for practicing Falun Gong. One time she was beaten and shocked with an electric baton cruelly over ten hours with both hands cuffed. On July 25, 2000, she was beaten with "poisonous hemp" for over 40 minutes in Longfeng Town Government building. She was forced to have a photo taken with a banner "Falun Gong practitioner" on her neck and to run in the large yard of the government office. Her shoes were run off and forced to run bare-foot for 10 rounds. She was fined illegally for 3000 Yuan ($350, about her half-year's salary).
[Zhuzhou, Hebei Province] Zhuzhou City practitioners are persecuted again
Since the National Day Holidays many practitioners from Zhuzhou City have been to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. From insider's information, seven steadfast Falun Gong practitioners have been transferred to a detention center. They are Xin Junhua, Han Yuhong, Zhang Xiaojuan and etc. Other practitioners were released after being fined RMB20000 (about USD2400, or over two years worth of total income of a normal worker in high income areas in China).
Five practitioners from a county of Zhuzhou City were arrested by county police because they went to Beijing to appeal. The policemen tried to force them to renounce practicing and to defame Falun Gong. They refused, so the policemen began to beat them. All of them were tortured so harshly that there were bruises all over their bodies. One practitioner knocked his head against the wall which inflicted a deep cut in order to protest the brutal torture. But the policemen lost their humanity and they hung him above the ground for several days by handcuffing one hand. After toilet breaks, they would hang him from the other hand. Later the policemen tried to force him to defame Falun Dafa so that they could record him. This practitioner resolutely refused again. In order to find justice and avoid the unlawful punishment, this practitioner escaped from the local police station sometime later. No information exists about his whereabouts now. Practitioner Chen Lingmei is still detained in the station; the other practitioners are released by now.
[Nanchang, Jiangxi Province] Practitioner Zhou is arrested
Practitioner Zhou Genzi from Nanchang City was taken away on September 30th by Xinjian county policemen from his home without any cause. Zhou is 45 years old and lives in Xinjian County Switches Factory. He has not been released yet.
[Nanchang, Jiangxi Province] Whole family goes to appeal to reveal the truth about a "Confessionary Letter"
Practitioner Huang Zhengguo (62 years old) is the former director of Science and Research Institute of the Transportation Bureau of Jiangxi Province. His wife, Zeng Jiyun (53 years old) is a cashier of the Research Center of Highway Administration Department of Jiangxi Province. The couple brought their two sons Huang He (28 years old) and Huang Hao (25 years old) to Beijing on October 26th to peacefully petition the central government in an effort to let the government see Falun Gong in a positive light and to let people know about the truth behind a "Confessionary Letter."
In July of 1999, Huang He and Huang Hao were arrested by local police with no reason. The police station then gave Huang Zhengguo (the father) a prepared statement and forced him to copy it himself and recite it. Then the policemen destroyed the original statement and video taped his recitation. Later, the copies of the tape were broadcast on TV and published by many other newspapers.
This October, the Political and Security Team called Huang He and Huang Hao in and ordered them to write a "Thoughts and Ideas Report" every month, otherwise, they could be arrested at any time.
Under these conditions, the family decided to let the higher government know that the local government was doing unlawful things such as: blocking the policies from higher levels from getting to local people; Hiding local information from reporting to higher level governments; Creating fake evidence at will; Restricting the freedom of civilians without any legal procedure. When they arrived at Tiananmen Square, they were beaten by uniformed and plainclothes policemen.
Now, Huang Zhengguo, Huang He, and Huang Hao are detained in Nanchang City No. 2 Detention Center. Zeng Jiyun (the mother) is detained in Nanchang City No. 1 Detention Center.

She had been on hunger strike for eight days--until October 30th. Cao Yucheng was detained in Nanchang City No.2 Detention Center.

Cangzhou City Police Station has an office in Beijing to arrest and send back practitioners from Cangzhou City. The office forced the relatives of arrested practitioners to pay them RMB 2000 (about USD 240) for each practitioner. They also let the local police station inform the relatives that if they paid the money late, they will be fined RMB 200 for each extra day. After paying the money, the practitioners' relatives or work units were forced to drive to Beijing to pick up the practitioners themselves. Many relatives arrived at Beijing and found out that many practitioners had injuries. The local police station also arrested practitioners from their homes so as to ask their relatives or work units to pay the police station from RMB 2000 to RMB 8000 for each person. [China] Posting Dafa materials in elevators is not safe
On November 9th, Minghui Net published an article about "Post Dafa Materials Fast and Safe." In the article, pasting leaflets in elevator was one of the methods. But I found this was not safe. One of our practitioners was arrested while pasting leaflets as the elevator was monitored by a video camera. (Some high-end elevators are equipped with video monitors.)
If practitioners wanted to paste articles in elevators, please be careful. One should first see if the elevator is monitored. If so, one should switch to other un-monitored elevators.
