- Zhang Guomin (Shulan (city) He was tortured by having his arms burned with the guards' cigarettes. The scars still exist. He was also made to sit facing a wall overnight.
- Wang Xiaodong (Pudian (city) He was beaten so brutally that his face and head became deformed. Two wooden boards were splintered during the beatings.
- A practitioner (Jilin (city) His wife was handicapped, and was not able to raise their child on her own. When her husband was detained indefinitely, she was unable to care for the child, so she left him at the gate of the labor camp and then disappeared. The child has been sent to an orphanage-- another tragedy in the human world.
- Pan Zhaowen (Jilin (city) A firecracker was forced into his mouth and he was threatened with a lighter: "Will you still continue practicing Falun Gong?" He once told the guards responsible for torturing practitioners, "How pitiful you are!" Then he was detained for three more months.
- Jiang Yihong (Shulan (city) Guards asked prisoners to beat him and forced him to "ride the motorcycle" for nearly 40 minutes (Toes touch the ground, heels in the air, arms are held out straight, thus assuming a position similar to riding a motorcycle). He was also forced to take the posture of a "floating duck"(abdomen touches the ground and limbs are held upward). During this his waist was trampled on by the guards and inmates, his ears were pulled, and his head was pummeled. The guards in the labor camp also shocked him with an electric prod for over 40 minutes until the charge was completely used.
- Fu Hongwei (Shulan (city) His fingers were pierced through with pins and his feet were burned with cigarettes. Paper was rolled up and inserted into his nose and then the paper was set on fire. He was also forced to swallow lit cigarettes.
- Labor camps issued an "official document" saying that those Falun Gong practitioners who refuse to give up practicing Falun Gong will remain detained for 3 to 6 more months, or until they stop practicing Falun Gong. This is to say that all those practitioners determined in practicing Falun Gong are sentenced to long detentions.
- Jilin City Labor Camp now detains more than 50 Falun Gong practitioners. So far, two practitioners have died there: Li Zaiji (Jilin) and Wang Shujia (Shulan).
- Tang Shichen (Shulan (city) After he went to Beijing to appeal and came back, the local police stole his TV, motorcycle and other belongings from his home. They claimed they wouldn't return those things unless Tang gave them 3,000 Yuan, which worsens the financial difficulties for Tang's family.
- Chen Yulong (Shulan (city) After he went to appeal and came back home, the director of the local police station hit him and caused his ear to bleed internally. Even the female practitioners beside him were slapped.
- Qinhong Li (Shulan (city) After she went to appeal and came back, the local police station took her TV.
- Wu Xiangli and An Yanmin (Shulan (city) After they went to appeal and returned home, they were handcuffed to a heating pipe by police from their local station and forced to kneel on the ground.
- Zhang Guirong and Liu Jinfan (Shulan (city) were arrested when they read Falun Gong articles at home. They were detained for 15 days for "disturbing social order". Zhang Guirong's TV was also seized by policemen.
- Yang Shuyun (Shulan (city) carried over 10,000 Yuan when she went to appeal to the government. Her money was seized by police without giving her a receipt.
- Zhang Tinqin and Bian Linyun (Shulan (city) carried 700 Yuan and 1100 Yuan respectively when they went to Beijing to appeal. Police took all their money without giving them any receipts.
- Wang Guoping (Shulan (city) was brutally beaten (along with two other practitioners, Xu Xiaoping and Shao Guirong) by Beijing police when he went to Beijing to appeal to the government. Policemen put one iron bucket over his head and struck the bucket with an iron pole. They also put Wang's head into a toilet and kicked his back. Then they stripped the practitioners to their underwear and drenched them with cold water. Facing this type of beating and torture, Wang Guoping fell, jumped or was thrown from an 8th floor window.
- The guards of Shulan (city) Detention Center forced Falun Gong practitioners to do labor and sift sand for leaders of a gang in July 2000.
- Zhang Shushan (Shulan (city) His fingernails were pulled out by prisoners
- Baiqi County government of Shulan (city) forced Falun Gong practitioners to attend an "education class" held at the local senior center. They extorted huge fines from practitioners, and spent the money freely in restaurants.
- Fu Chunsheng had his teeth "brushed" by prisoners using a shoe brush with sputum on it.
- Xu Muyi refused to take medicine when he had karma - eliminating symptoms. He was handcuffed and force-fed with medicine by guards and 7-8 prisoners. The force-feeding caused many areas of his arm and mouth to fester and he had difficulty eating for over 10 days.
- Wang Zhongfu and Zhen Fengxiang were determined in practicing Falun Gong and refused to write a pledge to give up practicing Falun Gong. Encouraged by the guards, prisoners beat them with wooden boards for nearly one hour. This was repeated three days in a row.
- Guards shocked Wu Dexiu in Jilin (city) Labor Camp with an electric prod for over 20 hours until the rod batteries were out of power. The only reason was that he continued practicing Falun Gong.
- Xie Guichen in Jilin Labor Camp was beaten in the head dozens of times by guards. His ears were injured and emitted yellow liquid.
- Jilin (city) Labor Camp compelled Falun Dafa practitioners to join forced military training and doubled their daily labor. Practitioners had to run dozens of kilometers. During running they were made to take off their winter coats and put them together. After running, they were forced to stand in the wind for 6-7 hours. They were treated this way everyday. Their diet was strictly limited, adding even more suffering to the military training and labor work, which consumes a lot of calories and physical strength. The labor camp utilizes such a strategy and heavy workload in an attempt to force Falun Gong practitioners to write pledges swearing to give up practicing Falun Gong.
- Li Qiang in Jilin Labor Camp was left on a restricting device (type not given-ed) by guards day and night for 7 days because he read Falun Gong books.
- Xue Gui in the Third Detention Center of Jilin was forced by prisoners to lick their genitals. It was late autumn at that time. Xue Gui was forced to take off all his clothes and was placed beside an open window naked. Simultaneously, he was drenched with buckets of cold water.
- Jilin Labor Camp disallowed Falun Gong practitioners from eating enough food. When practitioners carried cabbage, they had to pick up cabbage leaves from the ground or radishes thrown by other prisoners and share them with other practitioners.
- Changchun (city) Women's Labor Camp tried to convert practitioners with an "electric rod policy". Falun Gong practitioners were shocked with electric rods one by one and very few practitioners were spared. Around 100 Falun Gong practitioners in the Third Team of the labor camp were tortured this way in July. One girl named Fu Yanhua (Gongzhulin City) couldn't stand these brutal treatments any longer, so she cut her abdomen with her eyeglasses in an attempt to commit suicide as a protest. The Fascist brutality in the labor camp is terrifying. The labor camp is still implementing this "electric rod policy".
- One female Falun Gong practitioner in the Sixth Team was shocked so severely that she completely lost consciousness.
- Liu Shuzhen (Shulan (city) is in the Third Team, yet continues practicing Falun Gong even after she was tortured with the electric rods. She has been detained in a special cell, handcuffed and hung up, or tied to a bed many times. Each time she was tortured for over 10 days and her eating, drinking and other activities had to be taken care of by others. When her family visited her, she was emaciated due to the torture. The labor camp also compelled her family to sign a document saying that if Liu dies, the Labor Camp is or responsible. Is there any difference between their conduct and that of a demon?
- Now Changchun (city) Women's Labor Camp has detained over 600 Falun Gong practitioners and already several practitioners have died there. The alleged "over 90 percent transformation" of Falun Gong practitioners in this camp is based on such cruel ways. The above cases represent only a very small sample of the torture inflicted upon practitioners at the labor camps. We will provide more cases in the future and we ask for the society to be aware of this situation.
They also conducted brainwashing and mental torture. Guards ordered Falun Gong practitioners to read together and recite from memory the forced labor education rules and regulations for nearly 6 hours every day. Many practitioners' mouths blistered and cracked.
