On June19, some practitioners who were arrested with Zhao Xin while doing Falun Gong exercises were released. The following are their stories. From them, people can gain a better understanding about how firmly Zhao Xin has cultivated Falun Dafa and how the police have mistreated Falun Dafa practitioners.

On July 20, with the full support of members of Ontario’s Provincial Parliament, practitioners in Toronto held their first press conference and luncheon in the parliament building. During the press conference, practitioners delivered a statement describing in detail the persecution endured by Falun Gong practitioners in China. They reiterated their desire to establish an open dialogue with the Chinese government in order to resolve the crisis peacefully, and called upon all people of the world to support their efforts.
At 1:00pm
on July 20, 2000, practitioners from Calgary and Edmonton went to the Chinese Consulate in Calgary to peacefully appeal for Falun Dafa.
