Some Personal Understanding of Police Harassment

(Minghui.org) I would like to share my understanding after recently hearing from fellow practitioners that members of the city's Political and Legal Affairs Committee will meet to decide how to persecute the practitioners in the city.

The Chinese communist regime has persecuted Dafa practitioners for 23 years. Every once in a while or on sensitive days, they harass, arrest, or sentence practitioners, and this seriously affects practitioners’ cultivation and saving of sentient beings. I thought about what could have caused this. I personally think that an important reason is that some of us may not have changed our understanding of this issue and intentionally or unintentionally agree with it.

We should first be clear on the relationship between Dafa disciples and the police. We are saving them, and we should not be persecuted. The Fa-rectification is coming to an end and the sentient beings are urgently waiting to be saved. The police could be using the “harassment” to hear the truth and choose a future for themselves. We must be clear that we should never acknowledge this form of persecution.

The persecution happened because the evil wanted to use the police to test to what degree we believe in Master and Dafa and also to make the police sin against Dafa so as to destroy them and not allow them to be saved. As cultivators, we must use discerning eyes to identify the truth and beat them at their own games. We should clarify the truth to them compassionately and never allow evil to destroy this group of sentient beings.

Don't panic or feel helpless or want to go into hiding after hearing about what the police want to do to us. We have to recall what Master said:

“What’s to Fear?

Should you have fear,it will seize upon youIf thoughts are righteous,evil will collapseThe cultivator’s mindis loaded with FaSend righteous thoughts,and rotten demons explodeGods walk the earth,validating the Fa”(Hong Yin Volume II)

Master has already pushed us to such a high level, so we should see ourselves as the main character. The police do not control us. Instead, we should be controlling them or they will not have a future.

Master has given us the magical tool of looking within, so we should be doing that. As things have let up in the persecution, have we developed the attachment to comfort? Did you become fearful when you heard similar news? Were you resentful, confrontational, and not kind to the police? Are you not very concerned and feel numb about saving people? Don't keep looking outwards: “it was a demon who came knocking at your door, thanks to your human attachments.” (“Be Vigilant,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress III)

Look for your thoughts and actions that are not on the Fa and rectify them: Change passive to active and the evil will destroy itself and not have gaps to exploit. The current world is not for the evil to act, it is for Dafa disciples to save people. We must harmonize what Master wants. We should be clear about this.

Master said:

“Remember: Wherever a problem occurs, that’s where you need to clarify the facts. (Applause) As for whether the result is good, don’t look at the other party, it comes from your minds. If you want it to be good then it will be good. And if you don’t intend to make it good, or if your mind is unsteady, then it won’t be easy to rectify things. In other words, you need to have strong righteous thoughts.” (Teachings Given on Lantern Festival Day, 2003)

In practice, I have some understanding of this paragraph and would like to talk about it. I was not willing to clarify the facts to people with my husband around because he often interfered. When I asked people to quit the communist party, he would be sarcastic. After reading this paragraph of Master's Fa, I understood that I was at fault as I had already formed a notion about him. I always felt that he was just like this. Later, I felt that I should change my notion and have righteous thoughts.

After changing my understanding, I would send forth righteous thoughts before clarifying the truth to someone when my husband was with me: “Eliminate those evil factors that are controlling him. Do not let them interfere with me saving people. My husband must be a being that plays a positive role.” As a result, he became quiet and sometimes even tried to help me to persuade people to quit the Party.

Similarly, if we can use righteous thoughts to look at our local situation and not think about problems from the perspective of wanting to protect ourselves and instead think that these pitiful beings are being used and destroyed by the evil, and then act accordingly, our environment will definitely change for the better.

In addition, when officers impersonate ordinary citizens to deceive and arrest practitioners, I suggest that we expose them locally in a timely manner and stop them from committing a sin against Dafa and Dafa disciples. We should let them know that this devious behavior will lead to serious consequences for them. Wake them up and do not let the evil push them into the abyss.
