(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 11 provinces，where at least 25 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Xiumin and Ms. Guo Yuexia Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Liu Xiumin and Ms. Guo Yuexia from Qian’an City were arrested by officers from the Kouzhuang Police Station on July 30, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Their whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xilan Taken to Prison

Ms. Wang Xilan was sentenced to prison on July 11, 2019. She was taken to the Jinan Women's Prison.

3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cong Ruimin Arrested

Ms. Cong Ruimin from the Longnan area was arrested at the Sartu Train Station checkpoint on August 1, 2019, when she was found to have a copy of Zhuan Falun. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Sartu Police Station.

4. [Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Qiang Detained

Mr. Li Qiang was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station on July 30, 2019. He is being held in the Lingyuan City Detention Center.

5. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Chun’e Detained

Ms. Wang Chun’e from the Huabei Oilfield was arrested near the Jizhong Police Department on the evening of July 11, 2019. She was taken to the Renqiu City General Hospital for a physical exam.

Ms. Wang was then taken to the Baoding Detention Center for seven days, before being transferred to the Hejian City Detention Center.

6. [Tianjin] Mr. Liu Liankun Detained

Mr. Liu Liankun from the Beichen District was arrested by officers from the Beichen Police Department and Dazhangzhuang Police Station on July 29, 2019. The officers confiscated a computer, printer, and other personal belongings.

Mr. Liu was taken to the Beichen Detention Center.

7. [Lechang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Pingzhen Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Chen Pingzhen from Pingshi Town was arrested by officer Zhu Huiqun, from the Pingshi Mining Bureau 610 Office, and officers from the Meihua Town Police Station on July 24, 2019. Her home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa books were confiscated. Ms. Chen’s whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tang Jifang Arrested

Ms. Tang Jifang from the Chenghua District was arrested at another practitioner’s home on August 2, 2019, when they were studying the Falun Dafa teachings together.

9. [Yuncheng County, Shandong Province] Ms. Xiao Qiumin and Ms. Zhang Shufang Detained

Ms. Xiao Qiumin and Ms. Zhang Shufang were arrested on the morning of July 13, 2019, when they were distributing information about Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked. Both practitioners are being held in the Heze Detention Center.

10. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guizhi Arrested

Ms. Zhang Guizhi from Boluochi Town in Chaoyang County was arrested by the railway police on July 19, 2019, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong.

11. [Yuanping City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Gai Ran and Her Mother-in-Law Mei Ying Arrested

Ms. Gai Ran and her mother-in-law Mei Ying from the Fertilizer Plant Residential Community were arrested on the evening of August 2, 2019.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Ai Xiaojiao, Ms. Tian Taojiao, Ms. Liang Xiangjiao, and Ms. Zheng were arrested by officers from the Qinduankou Police Station on July 30, 2019. Their homes were ransacked, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong and Falun Dafa books confiscated.

The four practitioners are being held in the Dongxihu No. 1 Detention Center for 15 days.

13. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Shuhe Officially Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shuhe was recently arrested by plainclothes officers from Wangjing Town. Her home was ransacked. She was officially placed under arrest after being held in the Hengshui City Detention Center for eight days.

A lawyer hired by Ms. Zhang Shuhe’s daughter went to the Hengshui Detention Center to meet with Ms. Zhang on July 30, 2019.

14. [Qishan County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Shen Hongqi Tortured in Detention

Mr. Shen Hongqi was arrested by officers from the Qishan County 610 Office, the Fengming Police Station, and the Maiheying Police Station on July 22, 2019. He was tortured by being restrained in an iron chair for four days and nights.

Mr. Shen has been placed in criminal detention, and is being held in the Qishan Detention Center.

15. [Pingjiang County, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Li Kuoyuan, Mr. Li Zhengzheng, Ms. Hu Junyu, and Ms. Deng Duohui from Hongqiao Town were arrested at home by officers from the Pingjiang County 610 Office, the Criminal Investigation Law Enforcement Division, the Hongqiao Town Police Station, and the Shiniuzhai Police Station on the morning of July 30, 2019. They were taken to the Pingjiang Detention Center.
