(Minghui.org) Four Falun Gong practitioners were arrested at Dongying Train Station on April 21, 2018. They are Mr. Wang Zhian, his wife Xia Deyun, her sister Xia Dezhen and her husband Guo Shusen from Dongying City, Shandong Province. They were seeing their parents off, who were leaving for their hometown in northeastern China.

Mr. Guo may have been flagged by the facial recognition surveillance system or his ID card. He was stopped when he passed through the security checkpoint. The police found a USB drive on him. They arrested all four practitioners, ransacked their homes, and confiscated Mr. Guo's computer, printer, and other items.

It was learned that Mr. Guo and his wife are detained in the Jishu Brainwashing Center, while Mr. Wang and his wife are held in the Shengcai Brainwashing Center. All four practitioners went on a hunger strike and were taken to Shengli Hospital, where they were given intravenous injections. Their families' requests to visit them were denied.

Relentless Persecution

Mr. Wang was a manager of a branch company and the chief engineer of the Geological Research Institute of the Shengli Oil Field. After the Communist Party began its persecution of Falun Gong, he was terminated from his job and detained in Huanghe Hotel for six months starting in August 1999.

His wife, Ms. Xia Deyun, was an engineer at the Geological Research Institute. She lost her job after the persecution began and was sentenced to two years in a labor camp.

Their 16-year-old son suffered from depression during Ms. Xia's detention in 2010 and was forced to withdraw from high school.

In the 19 years since the persecution of Falun Gong began, the 610 Office and Binhai Police Department at Shengli Oil Field have taken about one thousand practitioners to brainwashing centers. Two of these centers are still operating.

At least six practitioners have been detained and abused in the psychological wing of Shengli Hospital. They were injected with nerve-damaging drugs and subjected to electrical shocks.
