Additional Persecution News from China – February 24, 2018 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 were illegally arrested.

1. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Xiangzhuo Abused in Prison

Ms. Liu Xiangzhuo is imprisoned in the Eighth Ward of Jilin Province Women's Prison. She was put in solitary confinement on January 23, 2018 for passing around Falun Gong printouts. She was also deprived of family visitation.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Huang Qiang Arrested

Ms. Huang Qiang was arrested on February 14, 2018 for posting Falun Gong fliers. Her home was ransacked.

3. [Suixi County, Anhui Province] Mr. Du Shangwei Detained

Mr. Du Shangwei has been held at a detention center since February 12, 2018.

4. [Suixi County, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Meie Detained

Ms. Zhang Meie was arrested for speaking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong and was detained at Huaibei City Detention Center on February 14, 2018. She has since been released on bail for health reasons.

5. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Qiufang Detained

Ms. Zhang Qiufang of Licang District, is 66 and lives alone. She was arrested by officers from the Licang District Domestic Security Division when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on February 4, 2018. She was detained at the Pudong Detention Center. Her daughter went to visit her, but the guards did not allow them to meet.

6. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners Disappeared

Ms. Zhao Jianying and Mr. Tian Fu disappeared on the evening of February 21, 2018.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Two practitioners from Wuchang District, Ms. Wang, in her 50s, and Ms. Liang, in her 70s, distributed Falun Gong materials on the morning of February 22, 2018. A plainclothes officer saw them and beat Ms. Wang. She spit out blood afterwards. Ms. Wang's whereabouts are unknown. Ms. Liang was held overnight at the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center and then released.

8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guimin Disappeared

Ms. Zhang Guimin has been missing since September 2017.

9. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Geng Lijuan Detained

Ms. Geng Lijuan is being held at the Xindi Detention Center in Fuxin City.

Mr. Chang Guangjun was arrested by officers from the Lishu Police Station on February 8, 2018.
