Telling Police, Guards, and Inmates about Falun Gong
(Minghui.org) I was arrested last winter and taken to a detention center for a week. I do not hate the police officers, but I worry about them. If they continue persecuting practitioners, they will end up like those high-ranking officials who were sentenced to prison and charged with corruption.
Those officials were actually punished for having been actively involved in the persecution of Falun Gong, a spiritual practice whose practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Deputy Captain Quits the CCP
I was arrested at another practitioner's home. The police ransacked the house and videotaped everything. The practitioner's seven-year-old daughter was terrified. She asked me what those people were doing. I told her not to be scared because they were good people. The atmosphere changed instantly!
“No, we are not bad people,” one of the policemen said. “We are good people. We are simply doing our job.”
When I went to the restroom, a female officer followed me. She told me her name and her hometown. I told her about Falun Gong and tried to persuade her to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She agreed without hesitation.
While in the police station, I found out that she was the deputy captain of the city's Domestic Security Division.
Police Are Kind to Detained Practitioners
While I was detained in the station for two days, I met some young police officers and chatted with them about Falun Gong.
One of them interrupted and locked me up in a room. I pounded on the door and demanded he open it. He said he’d locked me up because some practitioners were rude to him last year. I apologized to him, and he let me out.
“Please do not persecute practitioners anymore,” I said. “You know that high-ranking officials like Bo Xi-lai, Zhou Yongkang, Guo Boxiong, Xu Caihou, and Li Dongsheng were charged with corruption. But the truth is that they incurred retribution for persecuting practitioners.”
When they questioned me further, I explained why the Tiananmen self-immolation was a hoax and that quitting the CCP could keep them safe when the CCP falls from power. I also told them to ask their family members to withdraw from the CCP, so that they would not be implicated in the atrocities the Party has committed.
One young officer brought me some meat pancakes in the middle of the night. During the day, others brought us lunch and water. Another officer put a small electric heater in the room. Most of them acknowledged that Falun Gong was good.
Another young officer told me that his grandparents practiced Falun Gong and are in good health. He had seen a Shen Yun DVD and said how good it was. He said he hoped he could get an all new Shen Yun recording. He even expressed interest in reading Falun Gong books.
Kind Detention Center Guard
When I was taken to a detention center, I was refused admittance because I failed the physical exam. The police then took me to a police hospital, which produced a report saying I was in good health. They then returned me to the detention center.
A young guard asked me to take medicine for my high blood pressure. She was worried because of my age. I told her about Falun Gong and that practitioners live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
She came to see me the next day and asked how I felt and to let her know if I was not feeling well. She did not ask me to take medicine but asked the other inmates to look after me. I thanked her and told her more about Falun Gong. But I regret that I did not ask her to withdraw from the CCP.
Inmates Understand That Practitioners Are Good People
There were 14 inmates in the cell. When they learned that I practiced Falun Gong, they applauded. I realized that practitioners who were previously held in that cell had been good role models. So they knew that practitioners were good people. Several young girls surrounded me and said that I was like their mother, kind and compassionate. They cried, and I was in tears as well.
One girl was addicted to drugs. When I met her, she was lazy and easily angered. I told her about Falun Gong and said that she would benefit if she sincerely repeated, “Falun Gong is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She repeated these sentences every day and stopped taking drugs a short time later. She even regained her energy, and her eyes became clearer.
I clarified the truth to a female civil servant who was waiting for sentencing. She accepted Falun Gong and believed that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance was the standard for people to follow. She deeply regretted having committed a crime and was determined to become a good person.
After she learned the truth about Falun Gong, she received word that she had been sentenced to one year in-home detention.
I stayed in the detention center for seven days. Before leaving, I told everyone, “Please remember, 'Falun Gong is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’”
