Hunan Man to Face Indictment for His Faith
(Minghui.org) A 53-year-old man in Yiyang City was arrested on June 20, 2017 for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. Mr. Liang Jianguo is now facing indictment for his faith.
Mr. Liang went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention and is now held at Datonghua People’s Hospital.
Mr. Liang’s family visited him at the hospital and noted that he was extremely thin and vomited blood from time to time. Even so, he was shackled, with nine people taking turns watching him around the clock. His loved ones are appealing to the public to pay attention to his plight.
This is not the first time that Mr. Liang has been targeted for his faith. He was sentenced to 4 years in prison in 2008. Police repeatedly harassed him at home upon his release from prison. He was forced to live away from home to avoid harassment, only to be captured again this June.
