Malaysia and Indonesia: Falun Gong Practitioners Condemn the Persecution
(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Malaysia and Indonesia held rallies on December 10, International Human Rights Day, in front of the Chinese Embassies in their respective countries, calling upon the Chinese Communist regime to immediately stop the brutal 18-year persecution of Falun Gong.
They also called upon the international community to help stop the communist regime's atrocities in the killing practitioners for their organs, and to bring chief perpetrator Jiang Zemin to justice. They asked for support in securing the freedom of all practitioners illegally imprisoned in China.
Practitioners conducted a signature drive calling to bring chief perpetrator Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), to justice. Several people signed the petition and expressed their hope that the crime will soon be ended. A number of passersby expressed support for Falun Gong practitioners' efforts to bring about an end to the persecution.
Practitioners held a candlelight vigil at dusk, as a memorial to practitioners in China who have been killed in the 18-year persecution. Their hope is that this human rights catastrophe will be ended as soon as possible.
Practitioners in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia held a rally and delivered a protest letter to the Chinese Embassy. They called upon people from all walks of life to assist Falun Gong practitioners in ending the terrible persecution. They also advised those who blindly follow Jiang's directives to give themselves an opportunity to learn the facts and stop participating in the persecution of Falun Gong.
Falun Gong was made public in 1992 and soon spread across China due to its beneficial effect on health and morality. Nearly 100 million people were practicing it by 1999. Out of jealousy, and fear of losing his control of the people, Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party, initiated the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 18 years. More have been tortured for their belief. The CCP even conducts state-sanctioned live organ harvesting for profit in the organ transplantation industry.
Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution. Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Due to the CCP's information censorship, the exact number of practitioners killed in the persecution is not yet known.
