(Minghui.org) The Xinjin Brainwashing Center in Huaqiao Town, Xinjin County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province is a detention facility run by the local 610 Office and Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, physically and mentally. It is disguised on the outside as the “Chengdu City Law Education Center.”
According to incomplete information, over 1,000 Falun Gong practitioners have been detained at this brainwashing center between 2003 and 2013. Some of the practitioners held there were tortured to death, many were tortured to the point of becoming mentally disordered. The brainwashing center is known for using poisonous drugs to persecute practitioners. The drugs have caused organ failures and other severe symptoms of poisoning for many practitioners. The CCP officials at the center not only secretly lace poisonous drugs into the practitioners' food, but also forcibly inject practitioners with drugs that damage the central nervous system, including the drug ecstasy. At least seven practitioners are known to have been tortured to death at the brainwashing center, including Xie Deqing, Liu Shengle, Li Xiaowen, and Deng Shufen, who died from severe internal organ damage due to poisoning. Below is a practitioner’s description of the drug poisoning she suffered at Xinjin Brainwashing Center.
Practitioner Recalls Being Subjected to Drug Poisoning at Xinjin Brainwashing Center
I was illegally sentenced to seven years of imprisonment in 2002. After serving the prison term, I was arrested again by the local 610 Office and detained at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center.
The food provided by the brainwashing center tasted very strange. Blood started appearing in my stools four days after I was taken to the center. I asked the person who was assigned to monitor me to exchange food with me. But she immediately refused. I had to stop eating the food, except for the rice, which I washed with water. However, I still had dizziness soon after I ate. The doctor at the brainwashing center checked my blood pressure, which was extremely high, at 280. This was odd because my blood pressure had never been high before.
Later the blood in my stool got worse, and my blood pressure got higher every day. I was in pain and experienced a lot of dizziness. The officials were afraid that I may die in the brainwashing center and called my son to pick me up. They also forced my son to sign a fault claim, saying that I had dizziness and health issues before being detained at the brainwashing center.
Soon after, I was reported to the authorities while handing out Shen Yun Performance Arts DVDs in public and was again detained at the Xinjin Brainwashing Center. At that time, I still had blood in my stools and internal pain. A director at the brainwashing center was surprised that I was still alive. She quietly told another official, “Another practitioner died not long ago, and we paid 300,000 yuan.” I was immediately sent to the hospital for an examination. At the hospital, I heard the doctor tell the officials that my internal organs were severely damaged. The director of the brainwashing center immediately lowered her voice to prevent me from overhearing. The brainwashing center later refused to accept me and asked my son to take me home.
After I returned home, my health quickly declined. I was often dizzy, had a very slow response, heartburn, and as much as a quarter liter of blood in the stool. My son asked me what went wrong, but I just looked at him blankly. My son was very worried about me and told my mother that I seemed like a totally different person.
My mother visited me and asked if the brainwashing center had given me any injections or medicines. I told her I had not had any injections nor taken any medicines. My mother and son were both very worried. Meanwhile, the local 610 Office personnel frequently called my son and asked about my health condition, indicating they expected my health to worsen. My son told them my condition was bad and that I was bedridden. The 610 Office personnel anxiously visited me and confirmed that my condition was very bad.
A practitioner told me that another practitioner had a similar experience at the brainwashing center, but her condition was worse. That practitioner was in great pain, and she was shouting horribly from the pain. She also became mentally disordered. Her condition continued to deteriorate, and she soon died. The practitioner was worried about me since there were increasing amounts of blood in my stools every month. I then realized that the officials at the brainwashing center had put poison in my food, and that was why the food tasted strange. The drugs affected me mentally and slowed my response to things. It also damaged my internal organs.
The practitioner saw that my life was in great danger. She encouraged me to study the Fa and practice the Falun Gong exercises, and she accompanied me. My health slowly improved, and the frequency of blood in my stools reduced. The last few times there were dark blood clots and rotten flesh in the stool. I subsequently finally recovered with Falun Gong's help.
My experiences show the means that the Xinjin Brainwashing Center, a dark den of evil, uses to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. The CCP has used these sinister means to persecute and poison practitioners, which is difficult for the detained practitioners to avoid even with extra precautions.
