Japan: Parade in Yokohama Raises Awareness of Persecution in China
(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Japan held a parade in Yokohama, the second largest city of the country, on October 14, 2017. The parade showcased the beauty of Falun Dafa, a spiritual practice that teaches the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The practitioners also raised awareness of the 18-year persecution the practice faces in China at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The parade was well received by Yokohama residents, who were appreciative of the efforts to raise awareness about the situation in China. Many people were outraged by the communist regime's sanctioned killing of Dafa practitioners and other prisoners of conscience, their organs harvested for profitable transplant surgeries. Large numbers signed the petition to support practitioners' efforts to bring former CCP head Jiang Zemin to justice for singlehandedly initiating and directing the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Two young Japanese men told a reporter, "Such a thing [live organ harvesting] could absolutely not take place in Japan. We support your efforts to end it."
An elderly woman told a reporter, "I've signed the petition. It's the first time that I heard something so shocking. It's horrible! I'll tell my family about it."
Another man said that it was inconceivable that something that could only be imagined in novels is actually happening in reality. He repeatedly said, "It's murder! It absolutely cannot be allowed. We must stop it."
Jiang Zemin, as head of the CCP, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong in July 1999.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 18 years. More have been tortured for their belief, and even killed for their organs. Jiang is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the CCP established an extralegal security organ, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. This organization overrides the police and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's policy regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law now allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are exercising this right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
