(Minghui.org) I would like to share my thoughts after reading the seven-part series on “Eliminating Subordinate Soul Interference with the Master Soul.”
Looking back at my cultivation journey, I often wondered why I could not overcome tests and tribulations as well as other practitioners. Was I not as good as others by nature?
As the practitioner mentioned in the series, it is due to the old forces' arrangement and interference, and I was not following Master's requirement to better manage my leisure time and do the three things well.
My main consciousness has been quite strong during my process of cultivating, and I could usually differentiate right from wrong. However, there are times when an “invisible force” controls my actions and makes me waste time.
This force is terrifying. I could thus understand why Master emphasizes that group Fa-study and experience sharing is an effective way to stay diligent.
Loneliness is a great obstacle, but I was arranged to be born in a “lonely” environment. I never had much companionship or friendship. After I started cultivating, I envied those practitioners whose family members were also Falun Dafa cultivators.
When I experienced tests and tribulations in my life, I became stronger and now know that this is my path – I must walk a path without being dependent on others. Of course, had I met some diligent practitioners during my tribulations, I may have done better.
There was a passage from the series that said, “Some subordinate souls looked at their master souls’ reincarnation history with some going back multiple lives. They discovered what their master souls were afraid of and their weaknesses.”
When I read this, I felt that my “weaknesses” were discovered by beings in other dimensions and that I may have accumulated many “weak” factors during my reincarnations.
This was very scary for me. It seems that the factors are present in a very microcosmic field, and I can feel it coming from a very deep place. The “weak” factors were so strong that I could not endure it and would do something irrational. Others might have overcome these factors quickly, but I have stumbled in my cultivation path due to being “weak.”
I have also experienced the “ecstasy” that was mentioned in the series. I have some experiences in dealing with it, but would sometimes fall into the trap. For example, a few days ago, I made a mistake and also hurt others. Although it is the old forces' arrangement to “drive a wedge between me and the other person,” I know that it is because I was not calm enough.
Another part of the series said, “While meditating, I saw myself and some other practitioners walking on a high-wire over a bottomless abyss. I told myself, ‘You must cultivate well and walk the path Master arranged for you.’”
Reading this, I know that I have to be extremely careful in my cultivation. Master's arrangement for me is a significant matter and the old forces and assistant consciousness feel this way, too.
The series also quoted Master's words:
“In history the old forces arranged many, many things, and they made extremely thorough and intricate arrangements. And to make sure that nothing would go wrong with what they arranged they did a practice run with the previous earth. Think about it--how could they not be attached to it? Could they possibly let go of what they wanted to do?” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia”)
As the old forces will definitely interfere, and the path ahead is difficult, we need to cultivate our every thought now and always look within.
I agreed with this and the following paragraph mentioned in the series, “When I was shaken in my cultivation, Master arranged for practitioners to encourage me. When I was wondering if I should write this article, Master hinted that I should carefully consider every single word I used. When I encountered tribulations at different times, Master laid out each step of how to go forward and backward. When I discussed some important issues with other practitioners, Master put a dome over us to block the old forces from seeing or listening to us.”
We are fortunate to have our magnificent Master who never gives up on us. “Never give up” is what we need to do, and this is what I must do now and in the future. My trust in Master must not waver. Master is using “beat them at their own game” (“Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference”) to help us. If someone makes a mistake during this period, we have to be tolerant. Then the old forces' tricks will fall through, as what they are most afraid of is understanding and tolerance among us.
Master said,
“But even so, if our righteous thoughts are very strong, then we're in line with a law in the cosmos, and this law holds in both the old cosmos and the new one: a being's choice is up to him, even if he made some kind of vow in history. At critical moments it's still up to him what he wants to do. And this goes for things that are positive and negative--it's the case for both.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia”)
No matter how dangerous this cultivation path is or how many old forces' tricks are awaiting us, by following Master's words to choose, maintain, and trust each other, we can definitely make it to the end. This is what Master wants.
