(Minghui.org) I noticed that some practitioners have a tendency to flatter and overpraise other fellow practitioners. They laud others for their better understanding of the Fa teachings, good enlightenment quality, and accomplishments.

Those who received such praise often developed the attachment of elation. The praise went to their heads when they were told how well they were doing. Thus, it became more difficult for them to accept criticism when others pointed out their shortcomings.

Rejecting criticism is a major block on one's cultivation path. Those who flatter fellow practitioners might not realize that they may be adding more difficulties to the practitioner's cultivation.

In the ocean of Dafa, each of us is like a drop of water. Our abilities, talent, and skills all come from Dafa. Without Dafa, we cannot make a splash, let alone waves.

Those who have done well should remain humble and be vigilant of the attachments of showing off or complacency. We should also take care not to overly praise or flatter our fellow practitioners.
