(Minghui.org) While a 25-year-old teacher from Chifeng City remains detained for her faith, four of her family members were arrested for seeking her release.

Ms. Jia Xuedong was arrested on June 13 after being reported to police for talking to her students about Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.

Her mother, Ms. Zhao Chunxia, went to request her release on June 27. Instead of addressing Ms. Zhao's concern, the police arrested her and her three sisters, Ms. Zhao Guirong, Ms. Zhao Chunhua, and Ms. Zhao Fuxia.

The Zhao sisters’ parents, Mr. Zhao Yu and Ms. Zhang Guizhi, were driven away as they argued for their granddaughter's innocence.

Ms. Jia is not the only one in her family targeted for practicing Falun Gong. Her mother Ms. Zhao Chunxia was detained for nearly 8 months in 2012, and her father Mr. Jia Bin is still serving five years in prison. Her aunt Ms. Zhao Guirong once spent five years and eight months in prison.
