Additional Persecution News from China – June 22, 2016 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 were illegally arrested.

1. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wu Yueer, 64, and another practitioner were arrested on the morning of June 20, 2016, by officers from the Nanzhan Police Station, for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were detained for ten days in the Nanchang City No. 3 Detention Center.

2. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhou Xuezhi Sentenced to Four-Year Prison Term

Ms. Zhou Xuezhi was tried and sentenced to four years in prison by the Linkou County Court on May 25, 2016.

3. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Dai Qunying Detained

Ms. Dai Qunying of Jiangyang District was arrested on June 17, 2016, by officers from the Beicheng Police Station. She is being detained in a detention center.

4. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Bu Rumei Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Bu Rumei of Henglin Town was arrested on June 18, 2016, for telling police officers about the facts of Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Yongning County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Wang Shihe and Ms. Cao Guilan Arrested

Mr. Wang Shihe and Ms. Cao Guilan were arrested on the afternoon of June 16, 2016, by Bao Jinning and other officers from the Yongning County Domestic Security Division. They were released on bail pending trial, after the police extorted 1,000 yuan from them.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lin Yongfeng Detained for 15 days

Ms. Lin Yongfeng of Shouguang City was arrested at home on June 17, 2016, by officers from the Shouguang Domestic Security Division and the Jitai Town Police Station. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong books. She was detained for 15 days.

7. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Ms. Fan Yingxia and Ms. Ju Lanying Detained

Ms. Fan Yingxia and Ms. Ju Lanying were arrested on June 1, 2016, by officers from the Tunhe District Police Department, for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were transferred to the Liudaowan Detention Center after being detained for 15 days in the police department.

8. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Jingquan and Ms. Liu Jinru Detained

Mr. Zhang Jingquan and Ms. Liu Jinru, husband and wife, of Lishu County were arrested on June 19, 2016. The police ransacked their home and confiscated a printer, a computer, and more than 130,000 yuan in cash. They were taken to the Lishu County Detention Center.

9. [Anhui Province] Practitioners Persecuted in Anhui Province Women's Prison

Practitioners imprisoned in the Anhui Province Women's Prison are routinely tortured. Torture methods include dousing with hot and/or cold water, being forced to stand still for hours, and being deprived of food. Guards order inmates to monitor, beat, and curse at practitioners.

Ms. Liu Yun, Ms. Wang Ling, and Ms. Bo Youhua are among the imprisoned practitioners. Ms. Wang has suffered a mental collapse, as well as urinary and bowel incontinence.

10. [Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomouse Region] Ms. Li Jinhua Detained

Ms. Li Jinhua and Mr. Ma Zhiwu attended the trial of Ms. Chen Cheng, a practitioner from Qingtongxia City, on June 17, 2016. They were arrested by Wang Man from the Yinchuan City Domestic Security Division and officers from Dawukou District. Ms. Li is incarcerated in the Shizuishan City No. 1 Detention Center. Mr. Ma was released.

11. [Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province] Ms. Huang Jiaying Detained

Ms. Huang Jiaying, 63, was arrested at home on May 17, 2016, by Li Shaowei and others from the Tianqiaoling Forest Bureau Domestic Security Division. Ms. Huang was detained for 15 days in the Wangqing Forest Detention Center.

12. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Ms. Wang Yinhuan Arrested

Ms. Wang Yinhuan was arrested on the evening of June 18, 2016, by security personnel of the Northwest Petroleum Bureau Neighborhood, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

13. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Jianguo Suffers Mental Collapse

Mr. Yang Jianguo of Zhuge Town was arrested on June 14, 2016. He has been incarcerated in the Linshu County Detention Center.

During a prior detention he had a mental collapse from torture. He was subjected to brainwashing and physical abuse during the detention. He recovered after practicing Falun Gong for a while.
