Additional Persecution News from China – June 25, 2016 (21 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 33 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Six practitioners were arrested for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator, on June 24, 2016.

Ms. Wang Xiaoyan was arrested and taken to the Wanghai Road Police Station.Ms. Zhu Lixia was arrested by officers from the Nanhu Town Police Station. She was detained at Rizhao City Detention Center for five days.Ms. Liu Wenyan was arrested by officers from the Taian Road Police Station.Ms. Guo Xin was arrested by officers from the Daxuecheng Police Station. She was detained for 15 days.Ms. Zhu Jiying was arrested and released on the same day.Ms. Xu Xuemei was arrested and taken to the Rizhao City Detention Center.

2. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liu Yuying and Ms. Li Guiqin were arrested by plainclothes officers and taken to Guchengzi Police Station on June 24, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Ji Hong, Ms. Yu Changhua, Ms. Liu Caihua, Mr. Xin Lesen, and Ms. Zhu Lilian went to the police station after learning about the arrest. They were also arrested.

All seven practitioners were taken to the Panshan County Police Department on the same day.

3. [Zhuolu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Kang Zhenlan and Mr. Zhai Shengrong Detained

Ms. Kang Zhenlan and Mr. Zhai Shengrong were arrested by officers from the Dongxiaozhuang Town Police Station on June 23, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Zhuolu County Domestic Security Division and later transferred to the Zhangjiakou Detention Center for ten days detention.

4. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Yu Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yu was arrested at home by officers from the Jiangtuan Town Police Station on June 20, 2016. The police ransacked her home.

5. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Luo Jun and Ms. Chen Guangyun Sentenced

Ms. Luo Jun and Ms. Chen Guangyun were sentenced in March 2016 to a five year and four year prison term, respectively. They appealed, but the court upheld the original sentences in May. They were taken to Guangdong Province Women's Prison on June 13.

6. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Shuying Detained

Ms. Liu Shuying was arrested on May 31, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Qinhuai District Brainwashing Center.

7. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Ji Xiangshou, Ms. Hu Guofang, and Mr. Liu Mingxian were arrested on June 24, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

8. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Yufen Detained

Ms. Xu Yufen was arrested at home by officers from the Yanji Domestic Security Division on May 25, 2016. She is still being detained there.

9. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Xiumei, Ms. Xu Xiuzhi, and Ms. Geng Yulin Detained

Ms. Chen Xiumei, Ms. Xu Xiuzhi, and Ms. Geng Yulin were arrested by officers from the Xianfeng Street Police Station on June 22, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to Jiannan Police Station, and later detained at the Qingyuan Detention Center.

The police ransacked Ms. Chen's home on June 24, and confiscated Falun Gong books and other personal belongings.

10. [Tengzhou City, Shandong Province] M. Zhang Jinling Detained

Ms. Zhang Jinling was arrested at home by officers from the Tengzhou City Domestic Security Division on June 21, 2016. She is being detained at the Shangcheng Detention Center.

11. [Donghai County, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shi Ronghui Detained

Ms. Shi Ronghui was arrested on June 21, 2016. She is being detained at Chengnan Detention Center for ten days.

12. [Jinzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Chunran Arrested

Ms. Wu Chunran was recently arrested and taken to Shijiazhuang Detention Center.

13. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gong Yingna Detained

Ms. Gong Yingna was arrested at home on June 16, 2016. She is being detained at the Linyi Detention Center.

14. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Wang Guaiyan and Ms. Xiu Zhen Arrested

Ms. Wang Guaiyan was arrested by officers from the Shenlong Town Police Station on June 19, 2016, for posting Falun Gong informational stickers. She is being detained at Baoji City No. 2 Detention Center.

Ms. Xiu Zhen was arrested at home by officers from Shenlong Town Police Station on June 20, 2016.

15. [Chongqing] Mr. Qu Yixuan Harassed

Mr. Qu Yixuan was harassed by three officers, including director Wang Quan from community office, on June 23, 2016. They tried to force him to write the three statements, threatening that he would be taken to a brainwashing center.

16. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Jing and Ms. Zhang Qiuling Repeatedly Harassed

Ms. Li Jing and Ms. Zhang Qiuling have been repeatedly harassed by local officers since April 2016.

They were harassed by Liu Zhijun, Party secretary of Zhaoniuzhuang Village, and Song Guowen, head of the village, on June 23, 2016. The two officers tried to force them to sign on the four statements (similar to the three statements). If they refused, they would be taken to a brainwashing center.

17. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Xueling Detained

Ms. Li Xueling was arrested by officers from Yangchu Town Police Station on June 24, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being detained at Yangchu Police Station.

18. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Zhou Jingrong Detained

Mr. Zhou Jingrong was arrested by officers from Songshan District on June 23, 2016, for posting stickers which had information about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is being detained at the Songshan District Detention Center.

19. [Rushan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Xu's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Dong Xu, 57, was arrested on June 23, 2016, for posting stickers which had information about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.

20. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Yaxian Sentenced

Ms. Zhu Yaxian was secretly tried on April 19, 2016, by the Dongchang District Court. She was sentenced to a five-year prison term on June 8.

21. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liang Yujie Persecuted to Death

Ms. Liang Yujie, 77, passed away on April 7, 2016.

Ms. Liang was harassed at home by officers from the Anjing Police Station in mid-December 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. The police forced her son to pressure her and take her to the police station to sign documents to renounce Falun Gong.

Under this pressure, she developed severe stroke symptoms on February 23, 2016, and was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. The treatment was ineffective and she passed away several days later.
